I don't think anyone's begun a new thread yet?

Hope you don't mind Cozie. Smile Newboy's Fairy God(cat)mothers love hearing about his progress.

I am a lightly stunned human, still. Well done C Grin

In manner of Newboy hunting mice, just hovered quivering by the reduced items in M&S for some time, stalking the precious double-yellow stickers. I got two packets of chicken from 4.25 to 45p each. For Mr C. Pot of instant porridge, 20p, for self.

I knew that cat would have me on gruel sooner or later. You can tell it's vet time, can't you. Grin

Ollivander84 · 06/11/2017 21:52

Weirdo here has taken himself off to the freezing cold bedroom. Apparently the kitchen was too warm for him Confused
I got a strange one

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 22:39

You have indeed.

Ollivander84 · 06/11/2017 22:53

He loves lying against the cold outside wall Confused
Unless he's cuddling me and then warm is acceptable Hmm

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 22:54

Have you got the carpet up yet? Have a stiff one, do it, then have the other half as a reward.

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 23:04

I recall my first bar job. This wee guy insisted that he wanted a ‘hauf and a hauf pint’. I, of course, asked him what the ‘hauf’ was to be.

The (senior) barman had to take me aside and explain. Blush

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 23:49

My maiden aunts always insisted it was polite to offer the 'other half' of a drink. They're dead right - never should it be referred to as 'another' . :)

Talking of which, we've had a family crisis about deranged tribal elders. Strikes me that if you're going to go barmy in old age, getting plastered every day on expense accounts daily through the 1970s and 80s West End is the way to do it. That's the upside. The only upside.

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/11/2017 09:13

I have relatives who take Vit b high strength complexes to try & counteract that.

I have dismissed the ti pi idea for asbo, he would wee in it. Like he did in my spray tan tent in the summer.

Lanaorana2 · 07/11/2017 09:46

Bad luck Fluffy. I also suspect asbo would waz in the teepee then lock dh in it.

cozietoesie · 07/11/2017 14:57

I’ve discovered that He becomes ......almost emotional over Dreamies Deli-Catz.(They’re soft and come in little packages.)

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 15:08

I bought some of those. Rejected Hmm

cozietoesie · 07/11/2017 15:10

Well Ollie is renownedly weird. Grin

cozietoesie · 07/11/2017 15:48

I meant to ask. How did yesterday’s meeting go?

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 15:54

Telephone interview passed and got a face to face one on Thursday

cozietoesie · 07/11/2017 15:55

Good luck then. Smile

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 15:56

I'm hanging dresses up to decide which to wear while Ollie is kneading poor Hedwig pillow to death and drooling on it

Fluffycloudland77 · 07/11/2017 16:02

Excellent news Ollivander good luck we'll be thinking of you.

Lanaorana2 · 07/11/2017 17:04

Well done, massive good vibes for Thursday comin' atcha. What dress are you wearing?

The sodding vet has put Mr C off again till next week, I waited by the phone for emergency appt till 3pm as last resort but nowt. However, himself has been perfectly fine all today and eaten quite a lot in the night. Typical.

Tomorrow I am going in person to bargain with the calendar people.

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 17:09

Contemplating a charcoal grey Boden one. It's knee length and quite smart. I've hung it up out of reach of cat hair Wink
Only for care work but I want to get some money coming in

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 17:16

Found a photo. This one. With some black t bar heels and a grey wool coat. Seems to be both my funeral and job interview attire Confused

So you'll be administering them only if he allows a gentle stroke, perhaps?

Lanaorana2 · 07/11/2017 17:32

oooh yes. I cringe at this expression but 'a brightly-coloured accessory' might be in order - people who wear red get paid more, apparently. You'd rake it in round here, carers get 20 quid an hour for old folk, all of whom are quite nice and civilised.

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 18:18

I've had a rethink, dug through the collapsed wardrobe (hence the mess) and found this ensemble. Ollie appears to approve but he might just want food. I suspect I have the red version of the belt...

You look positively lovely! A winner if ever I saw one.

Ollivander84 · 07/11/2017 19:11

Obviously I will fasten the shoes properly Wink but someone was shouting for sweeties from his bed
