I don't think anyone's begun a new thread yet?

Hope you don't mind Cozie. Smile Newboy's Fairy God(cat)mothers love hearing about his progress.

Super-soothing, sounds like he's managing fine.

Mr C has refused food... but accepted pate, so I have held off ringing the vet. :) He is watching the pate packet in the firm hope I will go to sleep before putting it back in the fridge.

cozietoesie · 05/11/2017 20:43

How old is he now?

Lanaorana2 · 05/11/2017 21:08

14!!!! He doesn't look it. Well, I think not.

cozietoesie · 05/11/2017 22:55

Teenager. Grin

RubbishMantra · 06/11/2017 09:29

It must be awful for stray cats during letting-explosives-off-in-the-street season - nowhere to hide and feel safe. Poor Little M accidentally found himself locked outside in the street, it didn't take long for him to alert me though. He has a very loud and piercing voice. He glared at me as he scuttled through the door, hair standing on end more than usual. My fault, obviously.

RubbishMantra · 06/11/2017 10:22

He sounded so distressed Lana! He always meows like he's wringing his hands in woe, but this had extra teeth gnashing thrown in for good measure!

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 12:59

I know the sound. Newboy’s room fell to 17.6 degrees at lunchtime and the noise!! (He likes it to be above 19 degrees, preferably above 21 degrees.) I am not doing my best, clearly. Blush

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 13:21

M, Aieee! Cross posts! I was cackling at C's post, no way would I laff cruelly at poor Little M! Tiny one!!

They really let you know when you've fallen below peak peformance, don't they.

Mr C has eaten no supper, no breakfast, and is still on the throw. Purring, tho'. Do you think he's holding out for pate? He knows it's in the fridge.

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 13:23

C It pains me to suggest it, but might little Newboy be a touch, um, millennial in his sensitivities?

Only mentioning it because he is the right age.

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 14:27

The temperature in CT is up and he’s settled in the new bed that the postie brought him this morning. (It’s a different colour and texture so I wasn’t sure if it would suit.)

MILLENIAL? I’m sure I don’t know what you could mean, Lana. Grin

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 14:29

We await the LWT though.Wink

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/11/2017 14:47

Seems odd behaviour for mr c. Has he held out for food before?.

I really hope newboy isn't a millennial. The human ones all need a good talking to.

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 15:28

Just for fun. (I’d love to see a cat equivalent.)

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 15:42

There’s a funny smell in the ground floor living room. I’d originally thought that all these ‘thuds’ and ‘bumps’ at night were Newboy playing with his toys. Now, I’m ........not so sure. Shock

RubbishMantra · 06/11/2017 16:04

He's got a cannabis farm in the cellar cozie. The smell of the plants is drifting up through your floorboards. Or... could he have offed DBro and stashed him down there? Shock

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 16:11

I’d put nothing past him, I reckon. But smell is how I found The Lodger’s Meece. (He hadn’t actually killed it - just terrified it into running for (what it thought was) cover.)

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 17:08

It could well be murder. And a drugs ring. We're not fazed - for Ladies of the Litter, it's all in a day's petcare.

Mice absolutely reek C. Gets eyewatering v quickly. Could you bash the carpet lump and see what happens? Is it a precious carpet?

Do you want me to stay here until you've had a look - moral support? Grin If I were you I would be begging for this, although you are way more Zen than me.

Mr C at vet tomorrow anyway re his arthritis. I'm sitting here with him and the pate packet on my knee, he's nibbling but not hoovering = weedy.

RubbishMantra · 06/11/2017 17:44

Have you tried ... lightly warming his food Lana? If he's got a cold, his little sinuses might be a tad stuffed up, needing something stinky to tempt him?

OP posts:
cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 17:50

You’ll all laugh on the other side of your faces when Newboy’s LWT (Lightly Warmable Tipi) arrives. Grin It allegedly has thermostatic control. I’m hoping that I can set it appropriately - Warp Factor 21 seems right. Wink

Lanaorana2 · 06/11/2017 19:50

Star Star Star StarEVEN THE CAT'S PLAYTENT IS LIGHTLY WARMED? Star Star Star Star

M brilliant, I will do that pronto. Well once I've had a stiff one to recover from the shock, see above. Thanks darling.

Fluffycloudland77 · 06/11/2017 20:06

Link to the Ti p or it didn't happen..

Asbo has never left me a dead mouse decomposing. He's a good lad.

cozietoesie · 06/11/2017 20:21

It’s all a question of size, Fluffy. (The places a mouse can get into would defy your belief.) Smile

RubbishMantra · 06/11/2017 20:55

He's a LWN alright. A Lightly Warmed Newboy.

Mine are doing some Light Warming of their own - Little M on the radiator bed and MCat on his heated throw.
