So we adopted a nine year old cat name megan before Christmas. She was so Nervy and underweight (5lbs). Shed been mistreated and handled roughly. She's made great progress and has recently started doing this (lying on my lap) im so happy! Please share ur pics and stories. Would love to see and hear xx

Yes that's it. Love it.

Longdistance · 12/02/2017 22:26

Just coming to see the pictures of the kitties.

Don't think Dh would want them. I would ideally like two, siblings perhaps.

cozietoesie · 12/02/2017 22:29

Get DH to watch that YouTube ad, Long. Wink

Pleasemrstweedie · 12/02/2017 22:32

This is likely to out me, but whatever.

This is Syd who came to us between Christmas and New Year from a one women band local rescue. He is a serial bully, so has to be an only cat, but he's starting to fill the gap left when my last oldie died last summer.

My mum and dad's rescue boy also from St Francis. Mithril. Half Scottish fold half BSH. He's gorgeous but nutty as a fruit cake! And also my best friend and late vocation to cat parenting' two. Rescue girls. Mother and daughter. Again from ST Francis. They did well out of me!

What lovely pics.

PosiePootlePerkins · 12/02/2017 22:38

So many wonderful cats who have been given loving homes.
Here are my two, Basil - black and white, a bit nervous but a real softy, and Sybil - the tabby, she's in charge and completely obsessed with food. They are around three and a half, their owner had been too unwell to look after them. They have been with us 6 weeks and it feels as if they have always been here.

She looks as if she's 'waiting' - not really completely relaxed.

Is that sofa on the way to/with sight of the door to the Place with the White Box? Wink

PosiePootlePerkins · 12/02/2017 22:53

Cozie that photo was taken when they'd been here only a few days, so she wasn't completely at home yet. The photo was taken in the lounge, which leads through to the kitchen where the litter trays are. I'll try and post some more recent ones tomorrow! I know what you mean though!

cozietoesie · 12/02/2017 22:55

And the kitchen has the 'White Box'. Smile

My children. Rescued aged 10, 2 years ago. Difficult to re home as needed to stay together but not with other cats.

Fell in love the moment I saw a photo of them and love them more everyday. They are hard work cats, lots of cleaning and poop all over the house but they are still worth it!

The calico is Ivy, she was very young when she found us. We put posters everywhere, nobody ever came forward. About 8 weeks later, her son, Moo arrived! (And 5 other little darlings 😸)
We found loving homes for her kittens, got her neutered and needled up, and her and Moo have been here ever since!
I couldn't imagine life without them, Moo is like a guard dog, he looked after me all through my pregnancy. I love them so much ❤️

This Ivy our rescue cat, we've had her a week and she's made herself at home!

I'm at a loss of what to do about the fish, she's fascinated with them, and is just watching them at the moment 🐠 the box is stopping her getting them for now!

Pendle, who was adopted a year ago yesterday. He came from a "hoarding" situation of 60 cats and I picked him as he was the one the shelter thought would be most difficult to re-home, being black and very nervous. He hid for about 2 months before coming out of his shell. He'd like to be a lap cat, but doesn't really fit on laps, so has settled for being a dog instead!

PosiePootlePerkins · 13/02/2017 07:09

Two more recent pics of mine. Sybil doing her 'don't mess with me, I'm the boss' face. And Basil chilling in the rocking chair that he quickly claimed as his own!

These are my 2, the black 1 is no longer with us, but shows Mr Pickles esquire in his natural habitat - relaxing on his chaise longue Grin

The 2nd is still here, she was from RSPCA had been mistreated in her previous home, so took quite a while to settle in here, she would only ever go to the men in the house, but after 10 years she will now only be fed by me but will go to dp for lap cuddles. He says he hates the fur as she molts badly but I've yet to see her be pushed away Wink.

Shes currently in a turf war with the next doors bengal cat - Hes winning so far!
