Has anyone got a bunch of idiotically named cats, and do you feel foolish when you yell said idiotic names out the back door.

Mine are called Scampi and Chips (two big black panther like brothers) and Pickle and Lily (girl kittens, one ginger and white and one tortoiseshell).

His name is Squirrel but DS1 calls him Schroedinger.

nizlopi · 27/01/2012 21:33

I did also have a Ginny, but she died last year :(

pinkandsparklytoo · 27/01/2012 21:51

My cat is called Bobby. She's named after one of the Railway Children (from the book) as she was found abandoned at the trainstation with her sister Phyllis. My FIL named them.

AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 22:06

Jacques (After Jacques Villeneuve)

DH gets upset when the vets spell his name Jack. Hmm

Catsmamma · 27/01/2012 22:07

Current catbabies are called OscarOrange, Reuben DaVinci and Faerie Queen.

Catsmamma · 27/01/2012 22:08

angibolen i had to phone the vet to correct their records after they spelled Reuben as Rueban and Faerie as Fairy.

Dh made me promise not to insist on having their middle names listed too.

BelleDameSansMerci · 27/01/2012 22:13

Two Maine Coons - Mr Darcy and Storm.

Manic "runt of the litter" unwanted tortoiseshell - Strawberry.

Darcy and Storm are enormous great cats. Strawberry is tiny. She gives them hell.

AngiBolen · 27/01/2012 22:15

Catsmamma I've never told our vets that Jacques middle name is Lorenzo.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 28/01/2012 09:44

We've got a Jalapeno who is normally known as gingerboy and a Terry who is often called greyhead (or fuck off with your pissing on my bed)

Sluttybuttons · 28/01/2012 09:48

We have archie and bella. Pic on profile :o

LifeOfKate · 28/01/2012 09:53

Mine are called Amy and Ted. Teddy was DS's first word, referring to the cat Grin

QED · 28/01/2012 09:58

Dcat is called Philomena but is always. Known as Beanie.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 28/01/2012 09:59

Two girl cats called Rosie and Spanners. Spanners had a brother called Pants who sadly died at a young age.

serotoninbutterfly · 28/01/2012 10:05

Big ginger and white boy called Dylan, tiny tortie and white girl called Layla.
Nicknames of Dildo and Princess - personality suits the nicknames more! Dylan is a bit of an idiot and Layla is precious!

tabulahrasa · 28/01/2012 10:12

I've got a Siamese called Willow, which I don't think is odd - nobody's ever commented anyway and I never feel daft shouting it.

I do however sometimes regret calling the wee tabby Flump, mostly when it makes the receptionist at the vet's laugh or I have to stand calling Flumpy when I want her in...it does work quite well for other things though, my Christmas tree has been Flumped for example, lol

LaCoccinelle · 28/01/2012 10:43

We have Cookie a big tabby boy, who DH always calls Mr New Baby Cat and Kiska Pushka (Russian for kitty fluff) a tabby/tortie siberian.

We did have Beelzebub (black cat) and the imaginitively named Tabby.

pinkyredrose · 28/01/2012 10:55

Mines called Pip b/w shorthair, i call her Pipsicles sometimes.

She loves cuddles and playtime and she's my best friend!

candytuft63 · 28/01/2012 11:05

TillyMinto, Kiki ,Tommy and Bammy.
I knew a cat called Sitherena, her owner a lovely old chap was a regular in the pub I worked in.On his way out he always said "sither!" ("see you " in our local lingo). She had a packet of crisps for her supper every night Smile

SecretSquirrels · 28/01/2012 15:32

Our cat, unlike the children, has my surname. Grin
I kept my maiden name on marriage and the DSs have my husband's name.
When I booked the cat in at the vet they just assumed his surname was the same as mine.
