Haha! Our goldie piles are like this too. After watching a cute vid I bought a little bird feeding cage which I insert all the fluff into so they can use it for their wee nests. Satisfying.

Hi everyone, I was invited to join this thread by @BigBundleOfFluff when she posted on my ‘Puppy blues’ thread. Happy to be here. Not so happy about repeatedly being treated as a chew toy by my 10-week-old Weimaraner puppy, but in the words of Gloria “I will survive . . .”.

This is the Monster in question - on dad’s knee waiting for the pre-vaccine puppy party at our Vets to start on Saturday morning and asleep today in the same Vet’s waiting room when I took her in because she has a UTI. I haven’t had the energy to take any other photos of her at home since we picked her up 9-days-ago. I have been permanently knackered, bruised and scratched. She is lovely though, especially when she’s asleep 😳

@AnnieSnap - just going to say again - those EARS!!

Welcome @AnnieSnap. He’s only ten weeks old! And yes, those beautiful, silky ears.

unfortunately, paddling pools are off-limits here now - hosepipe ban!

@BigBundleOfFluff and @Riverlee yes her ears are gorgeous and very strokeable 😀

@BigBundleOfFluff wow, that hair!! Unluckypup does shed now, one sofa is daily covered in her hair and no one ever uses it anymore 🙈 but a brush gets out the tiniest handful at most.

How's orangepup doing @Orangebadger

For those with older puppies, did they grow much past six months? Unluckypup is getting 'omg she's huge' comments now. I put a piece of contraband on top of a 4 square high ikea kallax thing — she tried to get it and her head nearly reached the top. I guess she is long in the back as well as legs.

@Unluckycat1 - for our older pup, growth slowed around 6 months and she didn't grow much beyond 8.5 months (this was also the time of her first season)

@tizwozliz nice action shot, I like how she carries her tail.
@Unluckycat1 not much upwards growing after 7 months but she continued to bulk out a bit - as she should have done. She looked a bit gangly before, now she's taken on the more powerful chest and shoulders that retrievers seem to have. Since turning 1 she hasn't put on any more weight so think her adult weight will be 30kg. She has her boosters next week so will see what the vet says but I think she's looking average. We need updated pictures please!

FluffyPup hasn't grown into his paws yet; he's 9 months back end of next week. Plenty of growing still to do! 🙈🤣

Ooh so she might not end up a giant, this is very reassuring! Definitely a bit of room to bulk out, depending on what breed from her dna menagerie takes over.

@BigBundleOfFluff a pic from today, where she doesn't look that big, but I'm sure she has some secret stretch Armstrong ability when it comes to beds, sofas and counter surfing 😅

I'm always amazed by just how small they can curl up and just how long they can stretch out.

So cute! We have a now 8 month old Weimaraner called Wilma. It's been hard work but she is so so worth it 💕.

Wow @deepspace9 She’s beautiful, but huge. I’d forgotten how quick this breed grows. We’ve only had Flora 10-days and I swear I can actually see her growing each day. She is shooting-up like a weed!

Yes definitely.

She's just over 8 months now and the training has really paid off. Still a bit reactive on times but overall a very good girl. So far....😂

@Unluckycat1 Orangepup has not grown a huge amount since 7 months, she's stayed at 10kg. But when I asked a group of fellow fauve owners they tell me they carry on with slow growth until 2. So I imagine she may bulk out a bit more and put on a few more Kg.

Poor I Orangepup is now needing a general tomorrow at the vets for them to look at her paw properly. After 5 days of antibiotics is a little better but not as much as it should be. Fingers crossed they find the culprit!

Hope all goes well orangepup! So Gizlotspup is coming up to 6 months and weighs 18.2kg 😮I think he still has a bit of growing to do, his mum is 23.4 kg

Oh no poor orangepup! I really hope the vet can find the problem today and that it's an easy fix @Orangebadger

Aww gizlotpup is looking big, but definitely puppylike too, so I'd say growing to go for sure @Gizlotsmum it's funny how some breeds keep the puppy look longer than others (unluckypup doesn't look like a puppy at all really anymore, though still acts like one 🙈)

I met the most obedient 17 week old border collie yesterday. Was off lead, took a step towards unluckypup (on lead). Owner said pup's name softly and it returned to him. I'm so jealous 😅 we very nearly got a border collie, and I know they're considered expert level dogs so not getting one was probably very wise, but yesterday there was a pang...
