The other thread is full and I can’t see a new one! Hope it’s OK to start one. I’m actually barely surviving puppyhood, actually teenagerhood, this week 🤬😡😭.

On the delightful topic of vomit
Ddog vomited his food back when we first had him
DD came to find me ' mum mum B was sick in the kitchen'
I hotfooted it downstairs to clear it up before someone treads in it but Couldn't see any sick
'He did vomit mum but then he ate it right back up'
He did it once more as well. Vomited his breakfast then ate it straight back up. He clearly doesn't like waste.
He was very cheery the whole time and I concluded that he had just eaten too fast/ been too bouncy the first time.

SirChenjins · 09/02/2022 20:46

Waste not, want not, I suppose Grin They really are grim creatures - we must be mad.

Did anyone see the Dogs Behaving Badly episode where to dog ate its own poo? That was difficult to watch 🤢

Xtraincome · 09/02/2022 22:42

My boy is growing loads but we need to sort out his walking to heel. He is on track to be at the top end of the Bulldog weight scale.

@SirChenjins we have had to drag FawkesPup off fox, dog and cat poop. Scuzzy creatures!!

I am going to make more and test it. I had an Etsy business and website years ago for jewellery I made but I am tempted to sell it. Il going to see what the reviews are on what I've done.

If anyone wants to try it do pm me and I will post some to you

Xtraincome · 09/02/2022 22:45

@CovoidOfAllHumanity that sounds grim! I remember our Beagle doing it when I was growing up! Poor you. Hope it doesn't keep happening.

Although me seeing our cat swallow a rat whole with its tail still wriggling is still the winner for grossest pet in this house.

Let's wait and see how Cassius goes as he does live the chicken poo too.

Goawayangryman · 10/02/2022 09:56

My Tug-e-Nuff finally arrived. It is, can I say, BRILLIANT. Sorry for shouting. That dog turned on a hairpin and came right back Grin this time.

Blahblahblah40 · 10/02/2022 11:36

@SirChenjins and @Goawayangryman good news from you both! Little wins for the day. 😁

tizwozliz · 10/02/2022 16:42

Day 17 and I'm feeling like the end is in sight now. Out on the long line today, somewhere quiet. Did have one dog run up to us, but he was 8 months old so could have just been standard puppy excitement. He walked away on lead ok so hopefully it's a sign that we're past the irresistible phase.

oh yay, @tizwozliz. What a relief it will be to be freeeeee!

GuyFawkesDay · 10/02/2022 17:22

Fingers crossed @tizwozliz

FawkesPup has been a good boy for 2 days. Now, I'm not normally suspicious but this is a record so ...hmmmm wonder why!!

Agree, the tug e Nuff toy is great, the number one grabbed toy here. And the long ones even better as hands are away from accidentally meeting teeth!!!

Goawayangryman · 10/02/2022 17:34

We have the accidental overexcited meeting of hand and teeth. I got the long one :) only issue is getting her to let go of it.

tizwozliz · 10/02/2022 17:41

I actually find the shorter tug e nuff a bit better. The long handle one means she's more likely to take a flying jump for it with predictable results. We also have one that she managed to detach the handle from in 5 mins of lax supervision. It was one of the felt strip ones but it's made an excellent thing to stuff in her hol-ee roller.

ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 10/02/2022 18:11

Second jabs tomorrow, then half term next week. I THINK that means tomorrow is the last day I have to carry the pup as a babe in arms on the school run. People have assumed,

  1. She is a lapdog,
  2. I have some weird neurosis about letting her walk,
  3. She is paralysed,
  4. I'm a mad broody middle-aged woman pouring all my maternal longings into my furbaby.

Only one of those is correct Grin

SirChenjins · 10/02/2022 18:35
Grin

Is she secretly your favourite? ChenPup is mine - he listens to every word I say, doesn’t argue with me and lets me sing ‘you are my sunshine’ to him while I give him cuddles, without telling me that I’m embarrassing him and to get off. I luffs him.

Aria20 · 10/02/2022 19:10

@SirChenjins lol I think my dog finds me embarrassing... someone on here suggested CBeebies presenter style hyperness to encourage recall.... I swear she cringed and rolled her eyes at me for making a scene in front of the other dogs!

GuyFawkesDay · 10/02/2022 20:35

Oh the dog is definitely my favourite, especially when he goes to sleep at 8:30 and looks excited by my stupid antics singing and dancing in the kitchen whilst my actual kids look at me like I've grown another head.

ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 10/02/2022 20:54

Ha! Yes, the dog is easily my favourite and I make no bones about it.🐕

(She is deeply perturbed by my singing, however.)

ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 11/02/2022 09:34

Practising walkies in the garden. I shouldn't have bought such a delicious lead.

@ABitBesottedWithMyDog that face Halo

SirChenjins · 11/02/2022 12:45

Awww - he’s gorgeous! Have you been forgetting to feed him so he’s resorting to eating his lead?! Poor pup pup.

567and · 11/02/2022 14:21

@ABitBesottedWithMyDog so cute! 🥰

tizwozliz · 11/02/2022 17:14

9 months old today.

Weighed at the vets again - 26kg!! Hoping it's going to slow down a bit soon, she's put on about a kg a month for the past 3.

All booked in for a rabies vaccination next week, Animal Health Certificate appointment booked, now just need to work out what tests we humans need to go abroad!

ABitBesottedWithMyDog · 11/02/2022 17:15

What a noble-looking doggo, tiz

GuyFawkesDay · 11/02/2022 17:58

Gorgeous dogs! FawkesPup has had his 8 month "birthday" this week. Still a knobhead, but a cute one.

Am hoping an hour's walk this afternoon will have tired him out. I am absolutely exhausted and need to go to sleep early!!
