Ok I know this probably belongs in telly addicts but...

That poor little dog who’s owner keeps taking him out in a pram and won’t let him walk and socialise!

OP posts:
SimonJT · 10/12/2020 20:50

Poor Pheobe, she was holding her mouth closed

mooloop · 10/12/2020 20:52

Awww Woody and Dexter! 😭

Madbengalmum · 10/12/2020 20:54

Love Woody, adorable.

Feel sorry for the cavapoo, owners have no clue.

MabelMoo23 · 10/12/2020 20:55

Phoebe’s owners are making me so angry.
I was so glad to see that behaviourist Louise sharply tell the woman not to do that to Phoebe

SimonJT · 10/12/2020 20:57

Another pup!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/12/2020 20:59

Another St Bernard!!!! Omg that's madness 😵

SimonJT · 10/12/2020 21:00

The food bill will be insane.

Link is 9 months old, as much as hes lovely the thought of having a new 8 week old puppy when he was only 6 months old is a horrifying thought!

JazzyGeoff · 10/12/2020 21:01

I don't know what's possessing them to get another pup, but there's no doubting they are a lovely family and they've already trained Woody so well.

MabelMoo23 · 10/12/2020 21:02

Seeing Dexter and Woody together made me all emotional

But another one!!!!!!

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 10/12/2020 21:18

I can't imagine how big a st Bernard's poo must be 😳 picking up after two of them plus the boxer, that's a lot of poo!!! Plus the food bill will be astronomical and the mess and dog hair....

They seem lovely but I do think that's crazy!!

Smallgoon · 10/12/2020 21:23

I always wonder how dog owners don't realise that dogs don't want to be handled all the time.... Imagine if we were constantly being prodded and picked up. No wonder Phoebe nips at them
Beebumble2 · 10/12/2020 21:25

Phoebe’s owners don’t have a clue. Did I miss i, I didn’t see any training. There commands are confusing and as for holding the poor dog’s mouth shut!
They need to some research and get a basic, dog owners handbook.

Beebumble2 · 10/12/2020 21:26

It, their *

Stellaris22 · 11/12/2020 19:46

The behaviourist looked completely shocked when Phoebes owner clamped her mouth shut. I was hoping she would take the poor puppy away from her at that point. They were completely clueless. When owners show off their box of goodies for the puppy rather than talking about training etc, you know they are awful.

Such a contrast to Woodys owners. When they said the breeder encouraged meet ups regularly it made me very happy. They are such responsible owners and amazing parents, lovely family.

She was really pissed off, wasn't she? I thought her reaction was great. They wouldn't react that way to a newborn baby, so why treat the puppy like that?

HappyThursdays · 11/12/2020 21:47

I thought it was v interesting what she said about them never having children together and discovering things about each other that they didn't know

I don't know how Woody's family will cope with another puppy. There is still so much training to do with the first one!

LadyEloise · 12/12/2020 00:40

I was stunned they were getting a new St. Bernard puppy Shock

Whitney168 · 13/12/2020 10:50

Caught up with the last two episodes of this last night and aaaargh.

Perfect way to show that going and buying from a known puppy farm is fine, really, you'll just get a cute puppy (which had obviously sore eyes when they bought it, if nothing else rang alarm bells).

And as for what seems to have been such a sensible family getting another puppy St. Bernard - are they quite mad? Woody is going to have zero interest in any bond with their son once he has another puppy to play with. They are going to regret it badly, and shame on the breeder who is happy to sell them another with that small a gap, even without the consideration of wanting it to be an assistance dog for the son.

Why must these programmes always be so irresponsible? Angry

LadyEloise · 13/12/2020 11:56

@Whitney168
I agree re getting a new puppy. They have enough to be doing.

Whitney168 · 13/12/2020 13:48

It's not even just the amount of work though, it's going to ruin any bond between Woody and Dexter, a playmate will just be far more interesting to Woody at that age.

LadyEloise · 13/12/2020 20:26

I know Sad

JudyGemstone · 13/12/2020 22:23

I love this programme, I've never had a puppy myself but even to me some of the owners seem a bit clueless!

Woody and Shelby are my faves, I love big dogs best.

Fabio and phoebe's owners seem way too anxious to be able to build confidence in their dogs. Is that how dogs can end up nervy, because the owners are?

EllaFaStorm · 17/12/2020 20:19

just watching now

my god, giving away your Springer at 8 months because you didn't 'bond' with it and then getting another puppy and 'hoping' it will work

and we wonder why shelters are full of dogs given away :(

She seems a bit focused on dogs ‘turning’

Puppies are a nightmare, especially when they’re teenagers. There will be times when they drive you absolutely insane, but thats what you sign up for. I got ours in June, hes lovely, but hes also a massive bugger.

SimonJT · 17/12/2020 20:41

Cookie on her walkies 😂 shes like “nah mate, cannot be bothered”
