Properly unusual dog names

Csn you share any you have come Across? Not just 'funny' names like Dave or Stanley, which are now common but actual unique names.

I've worked with dogs for 20 years, come across most names several times! We are about to get our first ever puppy after all our rescues so get to name it! Names I've come across recently as examples include Fleece, Pye, Valiant and Worthy.

I won't tell you what we're getting for now so it doesn't influence suggestions!

I've got a cocker called Tink and a GSP called Wurzel.

Ah, I like Nicholas, that's good! Not sure about it on a jrt though.

I heard of a dog called U2. Called that because the 3 big dogs got called by name, and the little one 'and you too'.

We nearly called a dog Humbug but she ended up as Dottie instead.

Monty Don's dog is called Nigel.
Which is an odd name for a dog "Come Nigel, lets go sniff parsley in the veg patch" smirk.

Mine is Briar, never heard it before (named by DT) then my cousin got a rescue greyhound with the same name! (They renamed tho).

I knew of a dog called "Kitchen"... Was after a cat called kitchen from a Jilly Cooper book... But her BF brought her a dog not a cat. Also worked for a couple who ran a pub with dogs called "Hilter", "Bugger" and "Mugus".

My Auntie had a dog called Costa - because he 'costa lot a money'

Squid- for a beautiful lurcher as it happened, and kind of fitted the name for some reason!

Samsung- known as Sammy.

Three whippets named Jedediah, Obadiah and Kentucky.

And Bassoon and an Eros.

I've seen a pair of Pugs on a dog walk once named Tess and Tickles :o

My friend has a Sage and an Onion.

Duck, which we named him cos it's both a term of endearment and funny to shout in the park. We never met another.

Monster puppy is really called Brock, which I didn't think was particularly unusual but I've yet to meet another one.

I have a GSD called Meike (pronounced mike-ah) people always comment that its unusual.

I knew a lovely GSD called Quest.
And a collie called Fidra.

We looked after a collie called Mafeking after friends were posted to the US.
DS1 aged 3 was given a JRT puppy after birth of DS2 (babies are boring), he named her Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, embarrassing to call her back in the park .

Mine's called Django. He predates the film, but I bet it's going to be more common now.
