New 4 part drama. On weekly on ch 5 which means usually has to be tv pace

Gives evil cackle so no one can binge 😂😂😛😛

In The Inheritance, three siblings embark on a dangerous journey to discover whether their father was murdered.

Larry Lamb plays their dad Dennis who dies unexpectedly, and afterwards the grieving siblings learn they weren’t left the inheritance they'd all been banking on.

The revelation sees the family fall apart at the seams, exposing long-buried secrets, jealousies and lies and poses the question whether blood really is thicker than water.

The Inheritance follows siblings Daniel (Robert James-Collier), Sian (Gaynor Faye) and Chloe (Jemima Rooper) who are part of a seemingly close and loving family.

The trio are left reeling after the sudden death of their father, Dennis (Larry Lamb) and are later devastated to discover they have not been left their expected inheritance in his will.

This leads them to question whether he really did die in an accident, as they were told, or if he was murdered. Their investigation takes them down a dangerous path and sees secrets unravel, relationships ripped apart and lives lost.

To force Susan to do a deal with them.

But I don't see that it proves her guilt!

We see on here that parents change their will & cut kids out!

Is it going to be Chloe's husband??!!

I am wondering if the estate agent has plans about the house too. He turned up late for the date as he had lost a sale.

purpleme12 · 13/09/2023 22:15

I loved Sian's sparkly dress

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/09/2023 22:15

Oh good point @Motnight

Is he dodgy

Hopefully not

One bad ex is enough

Yes, filler all the way for the ladies, apart from Samantha. The estate agent, surely, is in the pay of Gaynor Faye's dodgy ex?

I thought the estate agent had something to do with Susan the secret wife

newnamethanks · 13/09/2023 22:42

O this is good. A series to keep me guessing, everyone looks a bit suss and I can't guess who's up to what. Excellent.

duc748 · 13/09/2023 22:56

Just caught up with this. Very good so far. Plenty of plates in the air. Surely the estate agent is almost bound to be dodgy; the only question is, which way?

Choux · 13/09/2023 23:16

Sian never asked the estate agent who had asked him to come and value the house. He just turned up and she let him in. So either he heard about her dad's death and just turned up to chance his luck re getting the listing or someone sent him round.

Was it her ex? Susan? Someone else?

purpleme12 · 13/09/2023 23:17

I think Susan

purpleme12 · 13/09/2023 23:17

But I also think he might be linked to Susan in some other way

I thought that Dan had asked him?

Or did he just say that he'd get someone & never actually did?

duc748 · 14/09/2023 11:08

The brother also really reminded me of Andrew Buchan, who was in The Fixer, if you remember that, and also Cranford, and the dodgy dad in Broadchurch.

Pandasandflowers · 15/09/2023 17:14

Couldn't get into it at first but have now just sunk into the first two episodes. Love Rob and Gaynor Faye is looking gorgeous as usual. I think Chloe's husband may have a part in all this for some reason

Who is James?

Newestname002 · 18/09/2023 22:13

Glen (Sian's ex) is a very very scary person. He's quietly spoken but you can feel the violence emanating from him. 🌹

Chipstick10 · 18/09/2023 22:16

That’s what I was wondering

Choux · 18/09/2023 22:44

Is James Susan's son and he has pooled all the inheritances in Susan by killing the siblings' dad or making him do it. Ditto Susan's first husband Michael.

And now if Susan dies James will inherit everything...

But there is something about Chloe's husband. He is up to his neck in this somehow.

daffodilandtulip · 19/09/2023 07:52

Is he the murderer?

SoosanCarter · 19/09/2023 09:59

Surely Sian or someone would’ve investigated the estate agent a bit further? Ie snooped? At least googled the company and checked him out online?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/09/2023 11:33

So someone has bumped Susan off

Can't be her son if she has one

Well one hopes not

So who is James

Did Susan and Micheal have any children ?

What is Chloe's hubby up To

Why does he want the restaurant

Who has a spare £25k just sitting about

I'm guessing the restaurant doesn't make that much money

Her ex isn't nice to head butt her lover /estate agent

Surely if he's about near brothers restaurant he's breaking his restrictions /restraining order

Def kept me thrilled

All will be revealed next Monday

Glenn really gives me the chills. I thought he was going to find Charlie hiding at the restaurant, but I suppose no matter how evil he is, he wouldn't do anything to frighten his child, not at this age anyway.

I don't trust Pete one little bit. Very shady.

Now, I'm constantly behind on TV series viewing and I did watch on catch up while I was doing something else. I've totally missed who this James is? can anyone enlighten me please? Is it a name mentioned in Michael's letter to Susan?

Am also struggling with how Dennis had married Susan but there wasn't any evidence of her in his life at the house. She's split and divorced Michael but got her own home and although the adult children weren't supposed to have been around Dennis much, you'd have thought there'd be some indication of a new woman in his life.

lazymum99 · 19/09/2023 16:53

The letter in Susan’s bag (I think Michael’s suicide note) said that James is back and he is dangerous.
I also think that it was mentioned that Dennis did not want Susan to move in until the children were told about her

lazymum99 · 19/09/2023 16:54

I always have to rewind to read the messages and letters. It’s as though the producers rely on you being able to do that
