Anyone missing Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

This is my favourite TV series ever! I have the box sets and last summer watched them all again and it was fab. And although I'm watching the Vampyre Diaries and really enjoying them - though it is just Dawson's Creek with fangs - it is just not the same as Buffy.
And for any BTVS fans what is your favourite episode.
Mine is a tie between Passions - I loved Angel when he went bad and the singing one - can't remember the episode title.

Love Buffy - the singing episode is from Season 6 - once more with feeling - that's one of my favourites too. I even downloaded Spike's Rest in peace - how sad is that!

I also loved Spike with Drusilla - think I preferred Spike then to when he got into Buffy - literally!
I also remember the episode with the fish guys when Xander had to join the swim team and you saw him in his trunks and thought - hello!!!
DH also loved it - particulary when Faith was in it - I wonder why!!!

Yes Riley was a bit wet. In fact Season 4 was def the weakest IMO. All got better when Glory came along in season 5!

Hush - that was an excellent episode - and yep really quite creepy. But it was probably the highlight in what was the the weakest series - and yep Riley was nothing compared to Angel and Spike.
Did anyone else find Dawn really annoying?

DS (13) and I are HUGE fans! We have just finished watching the entire 7 seasons, saw the final episode on Easter Sunday and are now feeling utterly bereft . It was part of DS's evening routine - we'd snuggle up together on my bed with some snacks and watch an episode together before bedtime.

DS has Aspergers and "Buffy" was a great source of "social stories" for him and sparked some really useful discussions about teenage problems and dilemmas, as well as being brilliantly well written and very funny. It was also very useful in helping him to identify allegories and metaphors in the storylines, often a problem for Aspies who tend to take plots very much at face value.

Even a more "adult" theme such as Spike and Buffy's S&M fling in series 6 was a good chance to talk about self-esteem, unrequited love, and why some people get involved in damaging relationships.

I've just bought the Season 8 comics for him (£16 off eBay!) which will hopefully cheer him up.

DS has probably killed his chances with any girls for the foreseeable future though - he posted this fantastic Youtube clip of Buffy V. Twilight on his Facebook page, and has joined the Twilight Sucks group.

He really hates all that soppy teen Vampire abstinence porn!

Ok - just to drive you all mad with jealously - I have seen Spike live - he came to do a chat at a local uni - it was just between series 5 & 6.
As I'm in Scotland he wore a kilt and it was so bizarre to see him with a tan and talking with an American accent.

Mrs F - you'll have to start watching Angel! Although 13 might be a bit young yet - definitely more adult than Buffy.

My most fave fave ep was Hush! the scene in the lecture theatre when giles was trying to explain the 'gentleman' was buffy at its best!

I loved the wit!!! joss whedon is great for that!!

I'm not sure of my favourite episode, I loved season 6 finale though, Willow did good.

Oh, I miss Buffy too. The only thing in that genre that's come close has been Being Human.

Was it Buffy or Angel where Angel became a puppet? That was a mad episode

Pinkteddy - we've actually started watching Angel already - DH bought the entire box set! He prefers Angel to Buffy (the FULE!) probably because Buffy has female leads and is more about relationships .

I know Angel is a bit adult , but it's not THAT bad from what I've seen so far, and DS doesn't watch it unsupervised.

Pinkteddy - of course he is as good in the flesh - and all joking apart he did come over as a really cool guy.

I have buffy top trumps cards. The one with the Gentlemen on it had to be hidden, as it scared me so much.

It's not all that exciting snookes14 I hunted her down at sci-fi conventions haha, it's when she was pimping Tru Calling, she came to England twice in one year! She was my idol at the time so I traipsed to see her. I even hugged her

Emm who is vampire Mitchell?? And if he is a character in Buffy then I'm very embarrased for not knowing.
