OMG!! Sam's mum is younger than me if she had her when she was 20 and Sam is 20 now.

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:39

Blimey Sam's mum is the same age as Joy!

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:39

Anyone else think that Fabio looks like Kevin McCloud?

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:39

Flip, Joy, Flip!!

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:40

Love Joy's obsession with her lunch!

NormaSknockers · 16/02/2010 21:40

Sounds like Joy has been through a lot to get to this point

I'm really glad they're showing both sides of the spectrum- both arguments-

have a baby early efore being 'secure' financially etc

or

wait until you are 'secure' yet this may cause fertility probs etc.

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:40

Shit, of course she'd be obsessed - she's diabetic.

Heated · 16/02/2010 21:41

That receptionist!

wonderingwondering · 16/02/2010 21:41

The lunch saga does sum up the NHS bureaucracy and efficiency quite well.

expatinscotland · 16/02/2010 21:41

Receptionist lady's a cow.

Meglet · 16/02/2010 21:41

she's cranky because her blood sugar has plummeted right?

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:41

I brought a bulging bag of snacks with me.

gaelicsheep · 16/02/2010 21:42

So do we think that MWs assume that any woman who really complains of pain early on is just being a spoilt brat? They do seem to expect everyone's experience to be the same and put us all in boxes according to how dilated we are.

DH has very kindly told me that I was really really reserved during my labour. I'm thinking if I'd made more of a fuss perhaps I might have got some pain relief? I internalised it all because I didn't want to make a fuss and I thought I wasn't entitled to be in so much pain early on. I'm very very relieved I didn't behave like that Sam though!

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:42

Yes - Sam's Mum is the same age as me too!

That's not good that they've left her lunch knowing she's diabetic! Thought Nancy was a bit harsh about it too

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:43

I feel for the receptionist, she must get so much grief from the cross mums-to-be

brimfull · 16/02/2010 21:43

yes now we know her full name and the village she lives in

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:43

What's going on with Sam's baby?

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:43

I thought that booksgalore. A most impressive surname nontheless

MrsVidic · 16/02/2010 21:43

I hope Sams baby is ok, I think her mum is trying not to panic....

Eglu · 16/02/2010 21:43

DH has been rolling his eyes at Sam all the way through.

Think she is off for a section. Don't think she will manage pushing anyway

NormaSknockers · 16/02/2010 21:44

Baby's heartrate
