Wondering, they don't want to give the epidural too early I think.

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:32

Epi stung like killer wasp going in. Ouch. Local was awful too.

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:34

Fabio looks like he has the patience of a saint.

Luckily.

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:34

At what point do they give epis then, if 2cm was too early? Doesn't there also come a point hwen it's too late as well?

Missus84 · 16/02/2010 21:34

Poor old Sam, hope the pethidine helps her calm down a bit.

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:34

Wish they'd update lovely Lisa from last week. Is it just going to be these two?

MrsVidic · 16/02/2010 21:34

I love the way Sam's mum was cradelng Sams head just then and staring at her- really motherly love

Joy and Fabio are hillarious!

Who do you think will go to section? My monies on Joy

pigleychez · 16/02/2010 21:34

Apparently my Epi hurt me... I was too out my mind to remember but according to DH I was shouting to the poor lady " Do you mind" "Your hurting me!"

NormaSknockers · 16/02/2010 21:34

Sam's mum is good, kind but firm!

maxybrown · 16/02/2010 21:34

I'm sure I was pacing at home at 3cm.....sure I was. DH came in with cups of tea at one of her paddys and just raised his eyebrows!

EightiesChick · 16/02/2010 21:34

How long does an epidural last? Won't it wear off before delivery?

NormaSknockers · 16/02/2010 21:34

PMSL "You won't let me have cake so what's the point"

wonderingwondering · 16/02/2010 21:35

I think 3cm is established labour, before that I think things can slow down and go on over days, so I guess it makes sense to hold off the epi till at least 3cm.

PootleTheFlump · 16/02/2010 21:35

Just welled up when Ed said, "there is always going to be someone better than me"

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:35

Collect all the germs

adriennemole · 16/02/2010 21:36

PMSL at Joy, did anyone see the Betty Crocker chocolate cake advert that came on straight after!

expatinscotland · 16/02/2010 21:36

she's very lucky to have gotten an epi that fast. i had to wait hours for one with a back to back baby who had her hand up over her head.

Then, had to wait 3 hours for one after a 1.5 hour ambulance ride from hell. 9.5lbs. baby with cord wrapped round his neck so he wouldn't descend.

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:36

Joy's being a bit of a spoilt princess about her lunch. She won't get food that's hot once the baby's arrived!

5inthebed · 16/02/2010 21:36

Poor Joy, off on the wander for some food while her DP goes to Burger King.

SparklyGothKat · 16/02/2010 21:36

Joy is great! 'all I want to do is eat'

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:37

I thought it was 5cm before epidural? Can't remember but it was only a couple of years ago. Mine was bliss. Even gave birth while it was still effective so no pain at all. Heavenly.

Missus84 · 16/02/2010 21:37

I'd be just as irritable as Joy in the circumstances.

SarfEasticated · 16/02/2010 21:37

I loved Lisa too such a lovely girl I thought.

MrsVidic · 16/02/2010 21:37

Poor Sam the MIL has just turned up

brimfull · 16/02/2010 21:38

prim midwife could have been the one that told me to stop saying fuck when I was pushing dd out
