Channel 4 tonight, featuring a lovely young couple from our village.

OP posts:

I like Sam's mother too!

Poor Joy with the diabetes.

bewareofthedog · 16/02/2010 21:24

Oh, I remember it well, Joy. Inserting that pessary is bloody awful!

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:24

Is that how one is induced now? I had a drip in my arm all bloody day until they whacked the dose up at about 3pm...

tinierclanger · 16/02/2010 21:24

But what DID happen with the pillows? I feel the need to know!

expatinscotland · 16/02/2010 21:24

Joy is something else. I think inductions bollocks. I'd go for csection. Thankfully, though, my days of childbirth are over.

Heated · 16/02/2010 21:25

Joy is fab!!!

brimfull · 16/02/2010 21:25

I was induced in that very hospital.

crankytwanky · 16/02/2010 21:25

She's gonna go to section, isn't she?

giraffesCantCeilidhDance · 16/02/2010 21:25

pmsl at joy

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:25

Joy, why didn't you go private love?

expatinscotland · 16/02/2010 21:25

Joy's a hoot.

MrsMorgan · 16/02/2010 21:26

Joy is making me laugh, and Sam is annoying me, but I have no room to comment really as I had 3 sections.

McDreamy · 16/02/2010 21:26

Her poor husband! Joy is so funny

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:26

Oh no - only 3cm. She's got a long way to go still

Half dose??

BelleDameSansMerci · 16/02/2010 21:26

Why don't they give her some pethidine? I'm not getting the vibe that Sam wants to do things naturally!

crankytwanky · 16/02/2010 21:26

And Ed will faint.

Heated · 16/02/2010 21:27

Sam is having hissy fit, an albeit very painful one!

wonderingwondering · 16/02/2010 21:27

Sam is making a fuss in the same way that a child cries to get what it wants. But why should we have to beg for proper pain relief? It is terrible that epidurals are effectively rationed.

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:27

The midwives all seem very sweet

5inthebed · 16/02/2010 21:27

Is it just m, or is Sam coming across as a spoilt brat. And why is her mam speaking to her like she is a toddler?

maxybrown · 16/02/2010 21:27

Gosh, I am sure I was still at home at that stage? How old is she? Sam is it...?

PictureThis · 16/02/2010 21:27

If Sam carries on breathing her gas like that then she'll hyperventilate herself into unconsciousness - probably the best thing really.
