Oh, I remember it well, Joy. Inserting that pessary is bloody awful!

Is that how one is induced now? I had a drip in my arm all bloody day until they whacked the dose up at about 3pm...

But what DID happen with the pillows? I feel the need to know!

Joy is something else. I think inductions bollocks. I'd go for csection. Thankfully, though, my days of childbirth are over.

Why don't they give her some pethidine? I'm not getting the vibe that Sam wants to do things naturally!

Sam is having hissy fit, an albeit very painful one!

Sam is making a fuss in the same way that a child cries to get what it wants. But why should we have to beg for proper pain relief? It is terrible that epidurals are effectively rationed.

The midwives all seem very sweet

Is it just m, or is Sam coming across as a spoilt brat. And why is her mam speaking to her like she is a toddler?

Gosh, I am sure I was still at home at that stage? How old is she? Sam is it...?

If Sam carries on breathing her gas like that then she'll hyperventilate herself into unconsciousness - probably the best thing really.
