Channel 4 tonight, featuring a lovely young couple from our village.

Bless her.

Meglet · 16/02/2010 21:08

I do not like the sound of on-going induction .

brimfull · 16/02/2010 21:09

5inthebed · 16/02/2010 21:12

I love her mini rant about the pillows.

giraffesCantCeilidhDance · 16/02/2010 21:12

LOL at bring my own portable shower

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:12

Blimey - Sam's Mum isn't really helping!!

ShowOfHands · 16/02/2010 21:12

Oh she's cross. She'll be ripping the pillows apart by the 2nd ad break. Poor her, what a slog.

Sam is upsetting me a bit. I was very despondent towards the end, convinced I couldn't do it. Turns out I couldn't. I shouldn't watch this programme.

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:13

If I'm ever lucky enough to be with my DD's in labour I'll be saying the exact same things I'm sure!!

PictureThis · 16/02/2010 21:13

oh dear, Sam's going to be in for a rough ride I think

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:14

Does Sam's partner ever speak?!

sailorsgal · 16/02/2010 21:14

I think Joy should have gone to the Portland.

crankytwanky · 16/02/2010 21:15

People steal the freakin' pillows! That's why there are none.
Scummy, scummy people.

Poor Sam.

DorotheaPlenticlew · 16/02/2010 21:15

Sam's partner looks so out of his depth, feel a bit sorry for him.

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:15

Sorry Sam I have no sympathy.

Pushed DD2 out with no G&A or anything else bar a squeezy stress ball.

Suck it up x 100

maxpower · 16/02/2010 21:16

do I sound heartless if I say Sam's getting on my nerves with her incessant 'I can't do it' - bearing in mind she's only been having contractions for a few hours?

crankytwanky · 16/02/2010 21:16

I mean Ed.

bewareofthedog · 16/02/2010 21:16

That was the difference between my dh and my doula. When I got to the 'I can't do it' stage (which thankfully was closer to 10cm than two, poor Sam!), my dh's response was 'you haven't got much choice' (helpful thanks ), whereas my doula's response was 'you can do it, you are doing it'. Much more positive and it helped me immensely.

spilttheteaagain · 16/02/2010 21:16

steal hospital pillows??! Why would you do that?

crankytwanky · 16/02/2010 21:17

Ithink the young couple would have benefited from some AN classes. They're terrified!

McDreamy · 16/02/2010 21:17

Sam needs Marslady!

petalpower · 16/02/2010 21:17

Ha ha - Sam wants four children! Reckon this might be her first and last!!

FanjolinaJolie · 16/02/2010 21:18

I'm feeling sorry for ed now.

PictureThis · 16/02/2010 21:18

Sam needs a shit load of drugs

maxpower · 16/02/2010 21:18

If Sam's alluding to Ed being unemployed, he didn't seem to share her opinion that his work status might change any time soon!
