My friend who works in the same area ( no names) maintained that all X-factor decisions were producer-led,that X-factor viewers were all manipulated muppets and I insisted that Simon Cowell's presence and opinion was proof that here was some degree of truth and integrity.I (who have been in TV for 32 years) am now admittedly a MUPPET.Aaaaargh.

Just completely showing his true colours. He knows that Lucie is not going to make any money having had two young female winners before and although he realises that Jedward are untalented morons, he see that they will make the most money for him. So although he stated that if Jedward won he would leave the country, he chose to ignore talent for the sake of money. Shouldn't really be any shock for anybody.

I get out plenty thank you and hardly watch tv. I only got sucked in because of ds2's love of Jamie, he even drew a poster of him at school it's excellent.

Be interesting what Simon says about Shakira next week. I rememebr years ago someone in auditions did a Shakira song and he said he disliked her and that she couldn't sing at all!

Lucie didn't have two votes against her. Danni and Cheryl had voted to keep Lucie and send Jedward home. Only Louis voted to keep Jedward.

Lucie was a great singer but boring and she hadn't built up enough of a fan base to ensure she would win.

The way people are going on about John and Edward anyone would think they were murderers on the run - they're just a couple of kids singing on a tv show. They're not hurting anyone.

BTW chartthrob by Ben Elton is a very good book.
