Yes well given that the whole premise of Torchwood is that it is Doctor-based or at least inspired, it's a bit hopeless not having him about when billions of humans are being threatened.
Anyway, I thought it was a shame that Ianto died for no particular reason - they could have had him doing something useful while dying. And I thought the same about Clem - unless it becomes clearer tomorrow, his death hasn't got us any further forward plot-wise.
RTD's parallel between the government not wanting to hand over 10% children and yet writing off the ones who die from poverty and disease made me feel a bit cross - felt a bit lectured at in the way that Richard Curtis make me feel. IFSWIM...
