Meridian your pictures are fantastic.

How are you at portraits?

portraits of males??

scottish males???

particular time-travelling scottish males????

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 14:08

Dior I feel for you.

Dior · 07/01/2009 17:57

Oggs - Somehow, I just knew I wasn't going to get to see him, so I had already accepted it when it did happen - weird, I know! The play was still fantastic th ough and I really enjoyed it.

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 18:55

Edward whats'isname (keep wanting to say Cullen) did get very good reviews.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/01/2009 20:09

Oh Dior, that's such a pity.

meridian · 07/01/2009 20:38

oggs-- afraid I'm not a photographer... DH is.. he probably wouldn't want to go stalking timetravellers... he is an artist not a paparazzi..mores the pity.

Dior-- I didn't relize you never got to see him in the play... I haven't been on MN for ages... though I think I may have been lured back by the lurid talk of timelords

OggsfrogisaBadWolf · 07/01/2009 20:50

No Meridian, I meant the pictures you paint, like the ones on old pages (the button thief etc).

Wondered if you were any good at actual likenesses rather than from your imagination

meridian · 07/01/2009 21:06

oggs.. lol... soory I'm tired and being incredible dense.. I haven't the excuse of being blonde... aside from drawing a few pictures of clara bow and louise brooks .. I don't think I have drawn many "real" people since school days...and badly drawn pictures of Johnny Depp from his 21 Jumpstreet days..

Dior · 07/01/2009 21:43

Yes, understudy was excellent. Still, I really went for DT . Never mind, it wasn't meant to be and I had a fab day in London with my Mum, and a lovely french meal.

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 08/01/2009 07:33

Anyone any idea how I can save the gif Kay linked to? I think I've saved it but it says preview unavailable

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 08/01/2009 08:04

Sorry Oggs, I just tried. All I could do is add it to my favourites. I've tried pasting it into a word document, but i think my pc is about to explode in protest. Oh no, it worked. It's just not moving.

Right. Shower. Dressed. Work. Hmm.

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 08/01/2009 08:48

Okay. Realised animation will only work if I open the saved gif with my browser.

gizmo · 08/01/2009 16:17

Hello ladies!

Dior, so sorry about the Hamlet tickets...I also went before Christmas (on the Thursday after DT pulled out) and it was most excellent, but there was a small part of my brain thinking 'I wonder how David would have done it?'

Meanwhile I am busting with the effort of Not Passing Judgement on Matt Smith. I do trust Stephen Moffat's judgement but 14 months or so is a hell of a long time to wait and see if he's right. Mind you, it can't be much fun for the young'un, either...hope he doesn't quit before the first show is aired!

Dior · 08/01/2009 18:58

Oh I agree it was still fab Gizmo. I had a great time.

gizmo · 08/01/2009 20:50

What I am chiefly worried about now is whether the fact that I spent much of this afternoon at work trying to work out where DT's new house is means that a) I need a new job b) I am ovulating c) I am a genuinely scary stalker or d) all of the above.

You'll have to imagine a hybrid x here

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 08/01/2009 20:54

Probably all of the above.
Maybe you need professional help?

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 08/01/2009 21:00

Gizmo how do we know he has a new house?

If you do work it out promise not to tell me where it is. I wouldn't trust myself

gizmo · 08/01/2009 21:10

Ummm well Caitlin M mentioned it in a Times thing earlier in the year and then somebody said something about him using the break while Hamlet transferred up to London to decorate it and I know Caitlin lives in Crouch End (don't ask how) and I like snooping around property websites and I was really really really bored and....

Katisha · 08/01/2009 21:19

Gizmo! Have you thought of applying to MI5?

gizmo · 08/01/2009 21:23

Maybe I should, but I imagine they know where DT lives already

Oh dear. If a friend told me they'd just spent the afternoon tracking down a complete stranger I'd probably sit them down and have a quiet word. I just like digging obscure bits of information up, and I'm quite good at it.

Wierdy. Must be the hormones,

KayHarkerREFUSESTOSimper · 08/01/2009 23:31

gizmo, I'm shocked. Well, ok, not really.

Reassure yourself that you're never going to be quite as scary as the very scary woman who pasted DT's face over her husbands. In their wedding photo.

and then sent it to DT.

I mean, I'll confess to a few wandering moments of imagination, but deary me, that's like "Hi David, have you got a rabbit and a big pot handy?"

I am very impressed with your effort to Not Pass Judgement on Matt Smith. I appear to have passed judgement, skirted round bargaining, and now find myself terrified by the fact I found a picture of him with glasses on that I found attractive. The lighting was very good, and they were DT style specs...

OggsdogisaBadWolf · 09/01/2009 07:27

Blimey! Talk about fickle. It didn't take you long Kay . That is most definately a simper I see creeping up behind you ready to to pounce.

Having discovered the joys of image googling without 'safe search' turned on (can't think why I never thought of it before ), I am shocked amazed at the size of his feet still well in the grips of Tennantitis I'm afraid.

Still haven't received Blackpool or Series 2 and have given up vigil under letterbox.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 09/01/2009 08:49

Oggs, I think you may have to provide links.

Kay, there's no hope for you. Your post definitely has the whiff of a simper. So you also have to provide a link to this alleged 'specs-DT' photo please, so we can ALL pass judgement . Meanwhile, that woman is unutterably sick and should be locked up. That's just mad.

Gizmo, I vaguely recall reading that article as well - something about him looking for a place near her in norf London, which just proved he was leaving DW. Funnily enough, it didn't then occur to me to do any Google-stalking as a natural progression. I think we need to keep you away from any wedding photos, scissors or face pictures of DT.

Meanwhile, my dream last night was about Hugh Jackman, with the body shape of DT. Now what was THAT all about?

gizmo · 09/01/2009 09:14

Am laughing very much at woman-with-scissors. No, not at that stage yet (although, when I walked past him in Stratford, only iron will power and the presence of my very sensible friend stopped me from pretty much chasing him up the street).

Kay! I think you may have skirted around bargaining and landed slap bang in Denial. I can see what's happening here...you're mentally cutting out DT's face and putting it on Matt Smith's body, aren't you?

Dior · 09/01/2009 09:31

Oggs - enjoy Blackpool when it comes. It has the added bonus of the 'other David' being a bit of a sexy bastard nasty husband, so I had double drooling.

@ you lot tracking DT down. Poor guy - although, I can't promise I would have been so restrained if I had walked past him in the street. Headlines would have read, 'Woman arrested for hanging on to DT's foot and refusing to let go unless he married her'.
