When is it going to be back on our screens? I'm suffering from withdrawl symptoms!

foxinsocks · 03/01/2009 18:30

oh Raahh I loved Party Animals too. By the end, I had a serious crush on Andrew Buchan

I knew MI would think the same as me. How very pleasing .

foxinsocks · 03/01/2009 18:31

I can't find it on the thread but I lol at the Capt Jack will be happy comment

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/01/2009 18:32

Ooh, Andrew Buchan. Now he IS cute.

stitch · 03/01/2009 18:32

edam, we didnt live in this countryin the eighties. so that may have had something to do with it. in the seventies, mymom was a big fan, and that is what i was rememebring.

i want an older, gorgeous, sexy bloke who has charisma, and presence,a nd is just drop dead gorgeous fo rme to drooooool over at every oppurtunityh.

its bad enough that the gorgeous bloks from jls apparently went to ds's school. bah!

edam · 03/01/2009 18:32

MI, thing about Ecclestone is he wasn't a patch on Tennant - seemed not too bad at the time but the difference between him (CE) and someone who loved the programme from childhood is massive.

New emo-doc can watch as many DVDs as he likes, it's Not The Same.

cocolepew · 03/01/2009 18:33

DD1 10 yo (Dr Who Geek ) impressed

DD2 7yo "yuk don't like him and why is that mans eyes so red?2 I thought flu?

edam · 03/01/2009 18:34

bet it was conjuntivitis, as someone has already said - otherwise it'd have been covered up with make-up.

edam · 03/01/2009 18:34

oh ffs my spelling has gone to pot. See how cross I am?!

paolosgirl · 03/01/2009 18:34

I've just watched the interview with him on Confidential - and am even more . Doesn't he come across as just an arrogant sh*t of a public schoolboy who's done too many drugs? Go out in Edinburgh of a night - there are plenty of Matt's around, and they are just are annoying as this one.

motherinferior · 03/01/2009 18:35

Ah, you see, I absolutely loved Ecclestone. And without Ecclestone (as DP has pointed out to me) Tennant's Who wouldn't have been possible, in any case.

foxinsocks · 03/01/2009 18:37

ooh Zebs, thank goodness I'm not the only one.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/01/2009 18:37

But he did have a cute dimple and a twinkle in his eye there, at the end. And at least at 26 he's not young enough to be my child.... thank God.

So I think I'll give him a chance - provided he gets his hair cut of course. I can't be doing with those stupid boyband fringes. And they haven't actually cocked up on any of their casting choices so far. Despite my misgivings about Billie Piper, she was great, as was Catherine Tate.

edam · 03/01/2009 18:38

Ecclestone is no good at humour. And Dr Who has got to have wit - look at what happened with Colin Baker.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/01/2009 18:38

It's his eyes Fox. Very deep and mysterious.

edam · 03/01/2009 18:39

Um, I'd say they did fuck up in casting (and script and direction) with Martha. Complete waste of space.

oxocube · 03/01/2009 18:39

Agree with general air of disappointment. But then I adored CE and thought DT would be crap but he was fabulous and now I adore DT, so ............. who knows

edam · 03/01/2009 18:40

to MI (sorry sweetie, I did see you there, was just too busy spitting feathers to acknowledge it).

oxocube · 03/01/2009 18:40

edam, I didn't get Martha either

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/01/2009 18:40

But even Martha they managed to straighten out by the end, although I agree, they set off in totally the wrong direction on that one, Edam.

motherinferior · 03/01/2009 18:42

Ecclestone's 'Every planet has a north' is one of the most fabulous things I've ever witnessed on Who!

I liked Martha too.

KayHarker · 03/01/2009 18:43

No, It's no good.

Emo-teen Doctor.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!

stitch · 03/01/2009 18:44

no no no. i loved martha. but then, in my mind, i am martha. beatudul, and smart, and thin, and a doctor. and independant. and the doctors companion, and a doctor myslef.
of course i would have been a better martha.

Anniek · 03/01/2009 18:44

Initially disappointed but now remembering how many people didn't like Catherine Tate and I thought she was genius... So going to wait and see, but think Sally Sparrow from Blink as his companion would really help him.

motherinferior · 03/01/2009 18:45

Stitch, I've met you, you're more of a babe than Martha
