Gulp

Wow

BTW don't talk about what happened or you will be accused of spoiling it for people

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:14

how so, after it has transmitted?

OP posts:
seb1 · 01/12/2008 22:16

Saw it last night

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:17

OP posts:
KatyMac · 01/12/2008 22:17

I promise you - It happened after the first episode

or maybe that was becasue it was in the title

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:18

I only started watching this series (because of RA) and I love this programme.
It's not good for my blood pressure though: I feel my heart rate going up and up and up and up, and say to myself "calm down, it's only a TV programme!"

thatsnotmymonster · 01/12/2008 22:20

yeah, last night but only the last 20 minutes of it cos I forgot it was on.

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:20

Roisin, does RA play Lucas N?

he is lurverly

same here re BP - it really really makes my baby kick like fury!

OP posts:
rookiemater · 01/12/2008 22:21

I thought it was good, but still miss Adam Carter sob, sob.

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:22

thatsnotmymonster and seb1, I watched one last night - but it was about the boy who witnessed the assassination of the paparrazo bloke (is that the one you mean?)

the one tonight was waaaaay better (sorry if you are talking about the same one!)

OP posts:
roisin · 01/12/2008 22:23

Yes, RA = Richard Armitage

Beetroot · 01/12/2008 22:23

it was very violent tonight
and

SPOILER***

Connie {shock}

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:25

last ep, didn't Harry suspect her, then trust her again - how did she prove herself then?

OP posts:
edam · 01/12/2008 22:27

indeed.

I really, really, really wanted Harry to march into the PM's office and throw a punch at the end. How COULD he just walk back in and greet the stupid git with any respect? (I know it's only pretend but still...) And I demand Spooks show us what happened to the very stupid man who took over while Harry was being interrogated.

edam · 01/12/2008 22:28

a tape from her ex, conveniently hidden inside 'the last thing he ever gave me' (a pottery ornament) saying 'that Connie, she's lovely you know, she knows NOTHING'.

PheasantPluckingACarollingLute · 01/12/2008 22:28

Really enjoyed it

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:29

presemably he was jabbed with acid? Harry, that is

wasn't that the home sec at the end? didn't realise it was the PM

God, RA is SWOONSOME

do you think it really happens like that? do people get handpicked for MI5?

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 01/12/2008 22:31

edam - I agree, only that guy was the Home Secretary, played by the same actor (Robert Glenister) for the past two or three series. Unless he's been promoted. I don't think we ever see the PM!

We have seen at least two Foreign Secretaries (the smarmy one played by Alex Jennings, and the sexily nasty blonde woman from this series).

roisin · 01/12/2008 22:32

Really happens like what dinny?
The dishiest, most gorgeous, sexy blokes all get to work there?
Are you looking for a new job?

dinny · 01/12/2008 22:33

yes, dark handsome men in lovely suits stalking round the place, people being garrotted in the office etc etc

OP posts:
UnquietDad · 01/12/2008 22:33

I want to know who makes the tea and does the photocopying at MI5. All those people we see bustling round in the background? We should have an episode from their point of view.

PheasantPluckingACarollingLute · 01/12/2008 22:40

Am seriously thining of applying to MI5 to become a spy. Do you think they will be understanding if you need time off when your children are sick??!!!!

Notquitegrownup · 01/12/2008 22:40

Me too UD! I love Spooks, but it irritates me terribly that there appear to be only 5 people at work at any one time. I know that it is drama, but I wish they would let the characters eat or drink occasionally too . . . .

Stella Rimmington was interviewed on Radio recently and they asked her about Spooks. Sadly, she said that she struggled to find anything bearing any resemblence to rl in it, but found it fun, until the deep fat cooker episode!

UnquietDad · 01/12/2008 22:41

Babylon 5 (if anyone remembers that) did an entire episode featuring the regulars in action seen from the point of view of two humble maintenance guys. Spooks could do something similar...
