Yeah, I know the character is the home sec, just wrote the wrong letters in my excitement.

I want Harry to come and sort out all this skulduggery around arresting MPs for embarrassing the Home Office.

TwoIfBySea · 01/12/2008 22:44

I've been watching a week ahead on BBC3 and they haven't shown the final episode!

Poobums!

Now I have to wait until next week.

edam · 01/12/2008 22:47

Pheasant, they were placing press ads claiming to be family-friendly employers recently. Assume that means your children get a personal message from Harry when you've been offed by the Russkies/Yanks/Syrians/MI6....

My mother was at school with Eliza Manningham Butler (Buller?) but sadly recalls absolutely nothing about her. Sigh...

OllieWollieWoo · 02/12/2008 07:38

I missed the bit wheer Harry was interagated - what happened to make him look that bad - apart from wearing a bolier suit obviously! Soooo annoyed as I only caught the last 20 mins!

saltire · 02/12/2008 08:10

SPOLIER *

The bit with Connie doing what she did, DH has been saying all through the last series and this one that she can't be trusted!
Oh did he gloat when he was proven correct!

PheasantPlucker · 02/12/2008 08:54

to Edam - I MUST get the application off it they are recruting at the mo, thanks for the heads up!!!!

finknottle · 02/12/2008 09:03

UQD I thought the same thing about Babylon 5. Brilliant series, even though it was pre-satellite TV for me and I had to watch it in German. DVD box set is v tempting...

I thought Connie on the roof talking to Bernard (?) was a bit daft, "Do svidanya" on the MI5 roof with every service in the world prob having listening devices on full.

Was that the end of the series or is there one more?

DaisyMooSteiner · 02/12/2008 09:11

That cat-hissing thing that Connie did made me PMSL.

Stella Rimmington is an 'old girl' from my secondary school and when she was head of MI5 was asked to do award all the certificates at prize-giving the year I got my GCSEs. The building was swarming with MI5 agents - all us 16 year old girls were swooning with excitement

finknottle · 02/12/2008 09:15

That hissing was creepy!
The team's 2 down now, anyone know who will join?

dinny · 02/12/2008 09:28

SPOILER

it was so horrible when she was saying to Ben "You're OK, it won't be long now..."

Yuk yuk yuk

frostyfingers · 02/12/2008 09:30

I wish they wouldn't keep bumping people off - I liked Ben (and all the others they've done in). You get used to a character then they're gone, frustrating. Quite like RA but he doesn't do it for me like Adam. Last one next week - then what is there to look forward to on Mondays, boohoo.

edam · 02/12/2008 10:16

There used to be an MNer whose brother (I think) wrote for Spooks. Wish I could remember who in order to pump her for information!

SO glad they didn't get rid of Harry.

edam · 02/12/2008 10:17

And I liked Connie, nice to see a middle-aged woman playing a major role AND getting to be a villain instead of just making the tea.

edam · 02/12/2008 10:17

Although come to think of it tea-making was part of the plot...

dinny · 02/12/2008 10:29

I was terrified they were going to get rid of Harry!!

was it acid he was injected with? is it legal to be interrgogate like that? suppose it is, under Official Secrets Act

finknottle · 02/12/2008 10:33

Her "Won't be long now" was so much more powerful than any fight/shoot-out scene.

Also the bit where you could see her through the door bashing something, I didn't realise she was breaking the lock, thought she was smashing Ben's mobile. Why didn't she take it and what was the piece of paper she took from his pocket?

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 02/12/2008 10:41

The paper was a list of names that he was compiling that he thought might be part of the sugarhorse gang.

UnquietDad · 02/12/2008 10:44

The point of the piece of paper was that it was the request for paperwork supposely signed by Hugo Prince but signed the day after he died using his ID (by Connie) - they were getting it to run the signature through Graphology.

UnquietDad · 02/12/2008 10:48

I assumed she didn't take the mobile because it would have been more suspicious to do so - it could be traced, and we wasn't going to answer it, being dead and all.

I can't believe the MI5 paper archive has no CCTV !

UnquietDad · 02/12/2008 10:49

sorry he wasn't going to

edam · 02/12/2008 10:51

I should email them and point out their security flaws if I were you, UQD.

UnquietDad · 02/12/2008 10:53

I'm sure they'd appreciate that...

ByThePowerOfBaileys · 02/12/2008 10:54

It gave me tingles down my spine..
I loved it!!

I hid though for the interrogation of harry.. I can't bear things like that.

was amazed at how good connie was at killing.

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 02/12/2008 10:59

Why wasn't next weeks episode on BBC3 last night?
We have been watching it a week ahead but we couldn't last night.

I've just bought series 1&2 on DVD for FiL as he has only started watching it this series, I may have to watch them before I give them to him

sfxmum · 02/12/2008 11:01

because it it the last one they don't preview
