I only started watching this series, I love love love it. Should I watch the other series? If so, how many are there?

edam · 04/12/2008 14:30

yes and four, I think.

sparklyxmasfairy · 04/12/2008 14:32

there are 6 series

edam · 04/12/2008 15:54

Six? Blimey. I've watched 50 per cent more than I'd remembered!

NoPresentsInVictorianSqualor · 04/12/2008 16:36

This has just reminded me, I saw Adam on an advert for the new doctor who, so at least we'll see him again soon.

jujumaman · 04/12/2008 16:49

Whatever happened to Adam's poor orphaned son

Was it last series or the series before he was vaguely carrying on with the nanny sent to replace his dead wife? Then that storyline died out and it all got forgotten about.

Presumably the grandparents are picking up the pieces.

roisin · 08/12/2008 22:14

Roisin has died from high blood pressure brought on by the excitement of the programme.

Fab. Really enjoyed the whole series.

LadyMuck · 08/12/2008 22:36

I think that series 8 starts filming in the spring and it will air around this time next year. Have to wait and see who is coming back, and for how long!

MistletoeAndWino · 09/12/2008 10:39

Best series so far - glad Connie went out with a bang and didn't get to NZ.

And some quite dishy Russian hitmen, I thought!

jeee · 09/12/2008 10:41

Rupert Penry-Jones will be in the 39 Steps at Christmas - I think that's what you saw VS.

AndATigerschickInAPearTree · 09/12/2008 10:44

That has to have been the best serise for quite a while!

I just hope that, when it comes back, they don't have Harry back on the Grid with very little reference to what happened in the meantime. I want to know what is going to/has happened ...

They did that a couple of serise ago ... one serise finished with Harry and Adam lying on the steps outside Thames House having been shot but there was hardly any reference to it when the next serise began! I think they did a couple of flash-backs and Harry may have had his arm in a sling for half an episode but that was it.

MrsSeanBean · 09/12/2008 10:48

TigerinPearTree - didn't that happen with Ros aloso, at the end of the last series?

I thought she was meant to be dead, but not really, and was seen going off presumably to start a new life where "they" wouldn't find her....? And yet she's back on the grid as normal with no reference to the mock death thing (unless I missed the start of an episode or was too excited about Richard Armitage or something to notice).

MrsSeanBean · 09/12/2008 10:49

BTW - don't you love the expression 'on the grid'?!

sparklyxmasfairy · 09/12/2008 10:51

I agree it has been the best one for a while
wasn't too keen on Ros but she has grown on me, still wish Jo would go such a tiresome character

jujumaman · 09/12/2008 10:54

Oh yeah, MrsSB I'd totally forgotten that Ros "died" and was buried etc

What happened there?

Ah well, it was the best series in a while far, far better than the last one which was irritating with that ongoing storyline. Roll on the next but please .... they couldn't get rid of Harry could they? gulp emoticon.

MistletoeAndWino · 09/12/2008 11:02

Nooo, I'm quite attached to Harry! Bloody Home Secretary, all Harry got was a handshake as an apology!

AndATigerschickInAPearTree · 09/12/2008 12:15

I don't mind about the Home Sec thing - I think Harry knows that it was not personal and that, if he had been a traitor, that's exactly how he should have been treated.

Ros was apparently dead then wasn't and was seen disappearing through the graveyard at her own funeral.
Then she appeared in Russia on a deep-cover thing near the beginning of this serise ... it wasn't explained but it did tie in with the story line at the time so it didn't grate quite as much as when they've done it in the past.

Do you remember the end of the serise when Tom Quin's girlfriend and her daughter were in his house which was apparently about to blow up? The next serise began about 2 seconds after the last one finished - much better IMHO.

stealthsquiggle · 09/12/2008 12:19

Ros was reading the bedtime story on CBeebies last night - I couldn't help but find her a bit scary and sinister!

ShrinkingViolet · 09/12/2008 12:43

I loved the almost nod between Lucas and the Russian guy at the end in the tube station, a sort of "no hard feelings mate, just doing my job trying to kill you".
