What channel?

peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:11

God, poor woman. Those boys look like a handful!

Will reserve judgement, but again a shame that one of the few examples of bf nevermind extended bf on tv is a negative one...

OP posts:
AnarchyAunt · 24/09/2008 20:11

Yeah the kids are badly behaved.

And extended BF has what do do with that? I know children BF til four who are beautifully behaved - it doesn't mean they are indulged and controlling.

mumhadenough · 24/09/2008 20:11

Please disregard my laziness, I found it! :D C4

peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:11

C4. Go go go!

mumhadenough · 24/09/2008 20:12

Lol Peachsmuggler.

peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:12

Bet you anything, by the end of the show, she won't be bf at all...

OP posts:
AnarchyAunt · 24/09/2008 20:13

Exactly peachsmuggler.

Its a separate issue to bad behaviour and its crap to link the two on a programme aimed at parents.

peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:15

And an advert foir C&G in the breaks. Hmmmmm

OP posts:
peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:16

Nothing nutritional-wise!!!!

OP posts:
AnarchyAunt · 24/09/2008 20:17

Oh god C&G ad is shite.

And BF newborns feed more than every 3-4 hours for a few minutes!

AND she has just trotted out the 'no nutritional benefit' bolleaux.

peachsmuggler · 24/09/2008 20:18

Maybe it's the way it has been edited, but has she even asked the mum if she wants to stop bf???

Poor wee thing...

OP posts:
imananny · 24/09/2008 20:18

so do you all think it is ok to still feed a 3yr old?

BF is fab and babies and mums get a great bond from it - but what can a 3yr get out from it?

I have always said if you can walk and talk and ask for it,then you are too old

let alone children not being strapped in a car

lilymolly · 24/09/2008 20:19

you lot are mad
mother wants to stop bf its making her life a nightmare.
daughter is clearly controlling mum
dont let this start into an extended bf debate please

Saturn74 · 24/09/2008 20:21

I haven't heard the mother say that she wants to stop breastfeeding.

Thomcat · 24/09/2008 20:21

The mum has tried to give up before this programme came about. I would gather from that mum wants to give up.

This is a mum who can't be bothered with agro. Would rather her children travel without seatbelts rather than listen to them scream. Same reason she's still BF because it seems the easier option to her.

From where I'm sitting no relationship in that house is healthy and I'd take healthy relationships over the health benefits from the bits of brestmilk she is taking.

No let's not start all that, but I just think it's a shame that it is seen as the cause of the problem.

OP posts:
imananny · 24/09/2008 20:21

excalty

she said she has had enough and wants to stop but mum doesnt have the strenght to carry it through - but with the help of SN she will hopefully get her life back - and starts sharing a bed with her husband again

lilymolly · 24/09/2008 20:21

quite obvious in my humble opinion that she wants to stop
