I thought this started on 20th Sept. DH reckons he's seen a trailer saying it is tomorrow!

Does anyone know anything about this????

I thought Ola was going to wriggle right out of that 'outfit'! I was amazed it held together.
Poor old Don Warrington. Like a hippo with arthritis. And Gary Rhodes....prat.

I was so excited at 6.10 last night that I thought I was going to pee myself!!

I loved John Sargeant's dance - I was ready to hate it, but it brought a tear to my eye!

The girls group dance was awful. I have to say I don't think any of them stood out for me.

Lilia and Darren have stopped competing professionaly which might be why she had such a good bosom!

Well, I can be excused. DS is 14 days old and the pelvic floor still hasn't fully recovered!!!!!

Karen Hardy has a little boy, I'm not sure about any of the others.

Weren't we speculating the same thing about Lilia being pg late last year? She didn't appear in a couple of dances last year.

Gary Rhodes - oh my god. What a prize twonk. It was excruciating - farting on and on about 'perfection' and then coming out and dancing like Arthritic Dad at a wedding...

Tom Whatsisname far too smug. John S just lovely but at the thought of his Latin.

My money is on Austin and Rachel. Oh, how I love Strictly

Ola's catsuit was rank and done her no favours whatsoever. I would hate to think what us mere mortals would look like in it

Definitely a year for the boys. A couple of good ones - Austin & Holby bloke plus some with potential swimmer and maybe some good weeks from Don. Liked John but I too was having flashes of him doing the rumba etc in tight orange lycra , sequins & fringing - they were kind & gave him the waltz for the first week. Phil warmed me. I agree Andrew danced like an accountant. But it was Gary who was truly awful esp after all that I'm a perfectionist crap. I will be sooo glad to see him go first and only slightly sorry for Karen getting voted off first 2 years running as the weird faces worry me.

The girls' dance was dreadful. Anton flinging Gillian around, lots of them were really wooden and had bad posture. Poor Jodie is just too tall- she cant control her limbs. Heather did surprise me too. Rachel will go far but I think a man will win - all us ladies voting for the fit blokes rather than getting behind ex-models & soapstars.

Have just watched it. Sky+ it so can fast fwd through all the awful brucie bits.

Rhodes too full of himself.
Castle was bad.
Think Don, will prob go, just becasue bit unforgettable.

Women were dire. wasn't Jodie Kidd awful !

I do sometimes think the judges forget that this is the first week and it must be mind-blowingly nervewracking for the celebs. Some of the comments (particularly from CRH) were far too harsh. I think constructive criticism is fine but some of it was very OTT.

I loved Austin (but then I've always been a fan of his from his rugby days), thought John Sargeant was very sweet (but wonder how he will do in some of the Latin dances) and think Tom has potential (but knows he has a huge advantage over some of the others with his youth and looks). The girls were truly awful, but I do think it's unfair to get them to learn two dances at this point as they will be concentrating mainly on their first solo dances.

Oh and Ola's catsuit made her look as though she has a huge arse, which she clearly hasn't.

Ola wore the catsuit on the live tour last year, I think they all put on a little bit of weight over the 'off season' and think perhaps that's all it is with Lilia... then again, that might be why she's paired with Don, do she's not competing for long???

hated Gary Rhodes, very unlikeable indeed. Loved John Sargeant so endearing. Fingers crossed Gary goes...

Considering it was first week, as Arlene said, the men were better, than any other series.

can't get rid of the panto villain too early in the show.

So excited SCB is back. Verdict from the De Bump household:
Tom (never heard of him before) - loves himself, Craig correct if unkind in calling him smug.
Phil from Eastenders. Looked v awkward, Craig correct if unkind calling him common.
John Sergearnt (I thought of Jo Brand too!) - sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeettt (but really can't imagine how awful his latin dances could be)
Austin - fab, fab, fab, want him to win
Mark - OK
Andrew - OK
Don - not great but could probably get better.
Gary & Karen's dance - WTF, most god awful dance ever seen on SCB surely. what was she thinking choreographing that bent over chopping thing. Is she on drugs?

My DH also rather liked the catsuit. At 5 months pg maybe I should get one? Wouldn't have to hold stomach in at least! He's just asked when the results show is, never having shown any interest in any series before...

Ah yes. i thought Heather was too boingy - like someone was bouncing her head like a basketball.

Ola looked fantastic in the catsuit, if it were a nightclub but all i could think about was his poor daughters, I would have died if my dad was dancing with someone wearing that when i was a teenager.
Jodie Kidd was awful and totally agree about jessies hair, far too severe. Can't wait for the girls next week.
