Does anyone know anything about this????

I haven't seen it yet, kids now in bed and DP sent to the pub so about to open a bottle and sit and watch it on the BBC iplayer - BLISS !

Gary Rhodes was sooooooo awful Suppose I should cut him some slack though, it must be hard to dance when you lack anything resembling a human soul. Here's hoping he gets voted off this week, the creepy fecker.

oh, i agree re Gary- he's so full of himself, too. This year the blokes have started out really strongly. They were terrible last year at the beginning, iirc.

Who would have though John S would have been better than Gary. He's a smug git.

Watched tonight with DS (7) and felt a bit emotional as reminded me of watching The Generation Game with my mum and dad in the 1970s.

Thought Gary Rhodes might as well have been dancing on his own - totally self obsessed.

But I had a big tear in my eye after the John Seargant dance. Thought it was lovely. Maybe have PMT...

and austin was great!

He was wasn't he? (Austin, I mean), he's probably favourite at the bookies after that.

Although I liked Matt Dawson when he was on it (yes, yes I know), Austin is much more 'fleet of foot'.

last year the focus was so much on the glam girlies, that i love the fact the boys have started off so well.

Think Don will go, mid table and a bit forgettable.

Austin Healey was very good and John Sergeant was lovely but can already picture the purple ruffled disaster of the rumba

Out of the women, imo Heather Small looked like she's got potential.

Judging by the group performance, the girls are a bit of a rum bunch. Kat Slater is more wooden than a fleet of Viking longboats, Jodie Kidd's face is trapped in that emotionless model facade and Rachel Stevens looks like she's going through the motions, as always. Christine looks alright though

NO!! Don can't go, he does have 'some' rhythm and besides, he was the charming, urbane Philip in Rising Damp and that earns him a few weeks grace at least.

Oh god Heated, I enjoyed John Sargeant's waltz but it was spoiled by visions of him attempting all the sexy dances Mind you, he still wouldn't be as creepy as Gary Rhodes.

Ha ha - was just wondering earlier who John Sargeant reminded me of when it hit me that he & Jo Brand could have been separated at birth. Uncanny . Anton can be a bit annoying cos he is soooo nice & always seems to get a bit of a duffer. I love Brendan, he is just so sexy, it's the arrogance. I'm sure he's unbearable in real life.

Belgian bun - I thought that re bulge too, but wondered how she will get through another 14 weeks if she is....Think a mini Darren-Lilia would be v cute.
Though the boys started off quite well this year, esp as I thought John Sergeant would be car-crash TV, and quite liked it. Dread seeing his in a sequinned top doing latin tho'.
As for the girls....I was very disappointed. They didn't even seem like they could keep balance, let alone dance. I have definately watch too much SCD tho', as my first thought when I saw Heather was "you could drive a bus through the gap in her legs" which I'm sure has been said by judges in the past. It will be interesting to see them individually next week. Gary to go, and Karen will be pi...d off!!
