I thought this started on 20th Sept. DH reckons he's seen a trailer saying it is tomorrow!

Does anyone know anything about this????

OP posts:
FimboGotAxed · 11/10/2008 22:32

Wtf is wrong with Brendan? Is he never going to be happy unless he is with someone like Alesha?

He's a bumhole.

Jessie was awful but at least her make up had been toned down this week - she looked a bit less tangoed. Perhaps they have someone new in makeup and wardrobe.

Tess and Anton are dancing for Children In Need - can't wait to see that = she will be dreadful/

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 12/10/2008 08:43

Jessie's hair is so much better off her face and not teased into that bod, plus he long drssees (esp. her rehearsal skirts) are too long for her body
I love Cherie..I never cringe when she dances as I have done previously when an 'older' woman dances- she just has everything really ! Still love Jodie as she seems so genuine. Absolutely agree about Lisa...I can't put my finger on it, amazingly good legs but she just seems a bit vulgar,if that's the right word - I'd say 'common' but that's quite inflammatory on mn.

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 12/10/2008 08:43

bod ?

tortoiseshellWasMusicaYearsAgo · 12/10/2008 08:48

I don't like Lisa anyway - I saw an episode of Britain's Next Top Model and it was just WRONG without Tyra!

Now Tyra on SCD would be amazing!

tribpot · 12/10/2008 10:29

Missed the beginning so only got half of Cherie's dance and missed what from the flashback looked like a rather blunderbuss rumba from Jodie, will watch online.

The guys' dance was absolutely dreadful I thought, Len was right to say basically "you're all out except Tom and Austin once you have to compete with the girls".

Wondering how Cherie's going to fare in a faster dance, ditto - but in a much more extreme way! - John.

womblingalong · 12/10/2008 10:35

Oh, you all hate lisa, I don't see all the commonness/insincerity you do, I really like her, I think she's sweet and genuine. Brendan OTH was not happy with his marks at all. He looked so pissed off. I also loved Cherie, Arlene was right, James did dance tenderly with her. Rachel and Vincents Quickstep was also just lovely.

Snaf · 12/10/2008 10:47

Was absolutely hypnotised by Cherie. I think she is astonishing. So does James, clearly - fabulous chemistry between them.

Lisa - meh. Great legs, nice 'lines' but a cold, cold fish. Brendan never does his partners any favours by behaving like a petulant primadonna, either.

Rachel - there's nothing to dislike about her, is there? She's sweet and pretty and a great dancer but... I just can't get excited about her.

Jodie - ohhh, I heart her. I will be gutted when she goes and she'll be going soon, I reckon. Thought her rhumba was a bit jerky but not nearly as bad as was made out. She is lovely.

The group dance - lord above Andrew Castle looks to have improved a bit, I thought - but still has 'bottom issues'...

Snaf · 12/10/2008 11:31

Oh, and what about The Kiss between Jodie and Ian...?!

Freckle · 12/10/2008 11:32

It was all those years spent bending over waiting for his opponent to serve; he probably has permanent bottom-sticking-out-ness.

I'm sure Cherie has had more than just ballroom training. She's got ballet-dancer's arms. Mind you, don't most actors spend years doing all sorts of different training, including dance?

DrNortherner · 12/10/2008 11:34

I like Lisa Snowden, I think she seems very down to earth - funny how othere pereciev her differently.

I saw her do BNTM and thought she was fab - Tyra is too screamy for my liking nowadays!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 12/10/2008 12:36

Brendan really needs to get over himself. But despite that, it is amazing to watch him dance, and when he's not being a tit, he does normally come over as a nice guy. Shame Lisa's not up to winning it for him.

Cherie was stunning. And I read she's 56. Wow! I am soo impressed. Don't worry about Jodie, there must be at least 4 others to go out before she gets the elbow. But I'm afraid if it's a dance off between her and John, I'd vote for John.

squeaver · 12/10/2008 16:03

Yes DrN I like Lisa Snowdon too. If she does keep improving she's in with a reasonable chance. A lot of people like Brendan (female fans) and she'll have one those "journey" stories.

Didn't I read somewhere that Cherie has had professional training?? But all credit it to her, it'd be nice to see an oldie do really well for once.

PurlyQueen · 12/10/2008 18:16

What does 'ballet arms' mean?

AccidentalMum · 12/10/2008 20:30

Umm, when were this couple World Champs? He is not exactly in great condition?

AccidentalMum · 12/10/2008 20:30

Cherie has ballet arms

AccidentalMum · 12/10/2008 20:31

Oh, and at Lisa Snowdon's sister! Why isn't she the model?

...wil stop now

Heated · 12/10/2008 20:51

Aha, was right about Heather (right three wks on the trot now [immodest emoticon]), but obviously Jessie will go, unless Heather falls on her face.

MorticiaAnnSpookington · 12/10/2008 21:01

am glad Heather was saved - I love Brian

Tigerschick · 12/10/2008 21:03

Feel so sorry for Jessie as she was trying her best but I think she knew that it was time for her to go.

I'm already really excited about next week - to be able to compare all the dancers properly, should be interesting.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 12/10/2008 21:03

Bye bye Jessie.

LOL at John wanting to do the Samba. Whose he kidding? He wants the American Smooth. I heart John.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 12/10/2008 21:40

I really wanted to hug Jessie.

MARGOsBeenPlayingWithMyNooNoo · 12/10/2008 21:44

PurleyQueen - "Ballet Arms" are much like tennis elbow, I'm an expert, me...

cyteen · 12/10/2008 21:48

Just jumping back on this thread so I can catch up and comment later...I missed both shows this weekend , thank the non-existent lord for iplayer. Will be back once I've seen and judged

Rose100 · 12/10/2008 22:13

Did anyone else think that Bruce's joke about money at the beginning was a bit dodgy, given the controversy about the dancers' pay?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 12/10/2008 22:18

So ballet arms is bad?
