loved Cherie - she is the first older female that hasn't made me feel embarrassed - and I do like Brian Fortuna -esp after ITT last week. Jodie seems really genuine and sweet. And John was great !

i noticed V and F were dancing together in the Pro group dance last week.

I missed last weeks show so didn't realise she was first out. Wonder if her and Vincent are still a professional couple?

I was really pleased that Phil went last week (haven't read the thread through so don't know if this is a popular feeling or not) and, for the same reason, I hope Gillian goes tonight... they just didn't look like they were enjoying it half as much as everyone else.
Last week Phil said (in the little interview straight after he'd cone off stage) that if he went, he went and so be it ... everyone else was saying how they were desperate to still be there and really didn't want to go.
I didn't see Jessie as DD's fave prog was on Playhouse Disney until 7 o'clock ...

I thought that Christine and Rachel were very good and was surprised how graceful Jodie was. I hope Heather can keep up the enthusiasm in the other dances, she was fab too. I can't like Cheri simply because, if she's had ballroom training before, then she shouldn't be there!

Well, there is a link to an article from the Mirror earlier on in the thread posted by spongebrainbigpants ... If it is true then I don't think she should be there. I'm not convinced that Tom should be there, either, see him tap dancing on a link near the Cherie one.

Tallulah - I saw you saying further down that you don't think you have iplayer - go to the bbc website and look towards the bottom of the home page. There is a link to the iplayer and you can watch ITT to your heart's content

So competitors can have had no dance training before? What about Jill Halfpenny? She trained as a dancer for years in her youth. No one said she shouldn't compete and she went on to win.

Re Anton - do you not think that he is given duff partners simply because he is so popular that the producers think the duff ones will be kept in longer than they should? I.e. people vote for Anton rather than for his partner. Makes for a more interesting programme than if the obviously bad ones go exactly in the correct order.

I don't know about Anton - I don't think they know who is going to be good and who isn't before it begins - tho they probably have some ideas ... But Anton has done reasonably well in the past with Leslie Garret and Patsy Palmer.

My point about Cherie is that, according to the article, she had ballroom training. AFAIK none of the previous competitors have had that kind of dance training. It would be virtually impossible to get 16 people who never had any dance training of any kind - hands up everyone who went to ballet when they were 5. I would be very pleased if the article was incorrect, and am always happy to be corrected if someone knows differently.

Freckle, tbh, I think that stands for most pro-dancers now...I hardly ever heard of any of the so called stars, lol....to me the pro dancers are the stars

And yes Anton had Patsy and Leslie, but he also had some seriously terrible ones over the years and has never won it yet, has he ?

I can't bear Anton. Or Tony Beak as I MUCH prefer to think of him. His real name. All that 'I have a bit of Clarrrrss....

Anton, Erin, Brendan and Camilla have all been in it from the first serise.
Only Bredan has won. I don't think anyone is victimising Anton.

oh, not sure I as htinking of victimising as such, it's jsut over the past few years he did get a few non-starters, and it would be nice to see him with someone truely talented...

I'd love to see Brendan with the token "mature" woman. See what his alleged sexual chemistry can do with that. I do think that the producers are being a bit predictable by always pairing him with a young(ish) sexy thing.
