Sorry for the delay - internet went down just as I clicked create conversation....

OP posts:
ExterminAitch · 24/07/2008 21:12

is this john barrowman programme not on in england, then?

RiverSong · 24/07/2008 21:22

Yes - I'm watching it now...

ExterminAitch · 24/07/2008 21:38

his parents seemed lovely i thought.

PortAndLemon · 24/07/2008 21:42

BTW, you look lovely, KH...

KayHarker · 24/07/2008 21:52

I'm stressed out now, are you all just being polite and refusing to show your pictures because I've embarrassed myself?

PortAndLemon · 24/07/2008 21:56

Well, that online MyHeritage thingy claims that I look like

Heather Graham 72%
Michelle Pfeiffer 70%
Martina McBride 68%
Kate Bush 64%
Christian Slater 62%
Lauri Ylonen 61%
Julianne Moore 60%
Kate Moss 60%

So I'm sure you can imagine me perfectly without a photograph. It's like your Andrea Corr thing.

Sadly, DH's claim that I look like the youngest one from Hanson (as he was then, fortunately, not as he is now) is more accurate .

PortAndLemon · 24/07/2008 21:57

I think I still have a photo of DH's knees on my profile, if that's any help.

RustyBear · 24/07/2008 22:06

Well, I have one on mine, but it's from 18 years ago - it's pretty much the latest one I'm ever going to post, unless I can do a Kay & get back to a size 8.....

JackieNo · 24/07/2008 22:07

Oh PortAndLemon - that is one deeply cute pic. Good knees, too.

KayHarker · 24/07/2008 22:18

PortandLemon, that is adorable.

I shall just use the power of 'The Back' to mesmerize people before they even get down to me

Gizmo · 24/07/2008 23:09

Oh!

You're up!

How odd. When I was at work my PC was perfectly happy to show me nekkid pictures of David Tennant but not you. A poor choice on the part of my PC I feel.

Anyway, I don't do profiles I'm afraid, but in summary I am the very antithesis of Diana, Princess of Wales (dead): I am Diana's anti matter.

There, that should help you envisage me, I'm sure.

KayHarker · 24/07/2008 23:26

roffle, ah, I see what's happening - no, I wasn't trying to leverage you all into showing profile pics - I was fearing that I had just so horrified you with mine you were all emphasizing that you'd never be so uncouth to show yours.

Gizmo - I've set it to 'mumsnet mates only' now - I've added as many names as I could think, including thee. If anyone else wants to see it and can't, you can ask (it's really not that exciting ).

I've just read the giving-the-chunk-of-TARDIS deleted scene. It's going to be on the boxset deleted scene section, and I do wish they'd kept some of it in.

Gizmo · 24/07/2008 23:32

Thanks Kay.

Have been spending time on your blog, too, you know...

KayHarker · 24/07/2008 23:51

oo, the blog. My therapist

Just been reading early Hamlet reports. Ladies, there's only a tux in play.

And apparently he has some fun with the 'country manners' line.

TinkerBellesMum · 25/07/2008 09:20

I like that MyHeritage thing, thanks! I am:

Sammi Cheung 76%
Alizee 62%
Reese Witherspoon 60%
Anne Hathaway 60%
Lisa Kudrow 59%
Sarah Michelle Gellar 59%
Matsushima Nanako 53% (who?)
Scarlett Johanson 52%

I also tried who does the child look more like, one picture said it was equal, one said 10% more like me!

Gizmo · 25/07/2008 09:40

Hey Kay

Have you found any reviews? I don't fancy doing any work would be interested to see what they say.

KayHarker · 25/07/2008 09:57

No public reviews online, but some people on another forum went and gave other forum members their view. The PM was there

There was a pretty big standing ovation at the end apparently, and very energetic and convincing swordplay in the fight scenes

Tennant's accent, while it sounds for the most part like he's using the English accent, ranges all over with the madness thing. He switches brilliantly from sanity to madness in a second, but that shouldn't be too surprising, of course. Modern dress, lots of costume changes for him, very moving death scenes and him having lots of fun with the language.

I'm most amused by the initial shocked responses of ' he said 'c*nt'!!'

RustyBear · 25/07/2008 10:03

So what do I have to do to be your mate Kay.....?

KayHarker · 25/07/2008 10:13

hold-onski, I'll just add you - I knew I'd overlook someone, please don't take it personal like

RustyBear · 25/07/2008 10:14
Smile
KayHarker · 25/07/2008 10:17

Done!

RustyBear · 25/07/2008 10:20
KayHarker · 25/07/2008 10:38
Blush
Katisha · 25/07/2008 11:58

Is anyone coming to the Dr Who Prom on Sunday? (Even though it is ahem Hamlet without the prince...)

Gizmo · 25/07/2008 12:28

Is it on Sunday, Katisha?

I saw something in the Times to the effect that there were thousands of people in the waiting list for a ticket
