New Brat Camp Tonight

I know this is the sort of TV I hate myself for watching, but I know I will be there at 9 tonight on C4.

One of the brats is a girl who announced to her mother's coffee circle that she had just had sex in a telephone box! OMG!!!!

It is a different camp this time, but still in Utah. Shame, I looked forward to seeing the staff from the last place again. I thought there were amazing, so mellow but so strong and determined. Just wore the little buggers down. Gives me hope for Y9!!!

Tempting! I have been known to say that some kids should opt out of education for Y9, and then be taken back into school in y10 when they realise that the world is a hard place and play station games don't grow on trees!

No, I am a sadist too. I love the way they are sooooooooooo cocky at the start and crumble with the first blister.

But it would seem that the rest of MN are nicer than we are

It is a predictable outcome though i think. Imo the ones with the toughest shells are always the most vulnerable and insecure, which is why they are so aggressive and defensive. Get through that and most of them are ok

Still fun watching them snivel though.

The first lassie, Jenny, is a piece of work. She's obviously old enough to get a tattoo, consequently, if she were my daughter and calling me a f'ing t**t, she's old enough to find her own place to live. I'd have chucked her out, changed the locks, and called the police if she came back w/her present attitude.

We didn't dare to act that way growing up, b/c we knew our parents would have none of it. They would not have hesitated to throw us out if we disrepected their rules.

It all seems to be 'I fucking hate you, give me a fiver!'. If they were mine they would have been out looking for a job. No respect, no cash IMHO.

In the States, it's easy enough to 'persuade' them to go - people are considered minors until they are 18, and both the law and the public doesn't look fondly on bratty teens.

They're all from families with huge houses for some reason .. spoilt rotten brats

DH and I find it funny that they think they're being so original, gawd it takes me back, I was such a teenage brat

sad to admit this but Jenny was ominously similar to my dd (5). Sweet, cute and girly, ready to turn on the tears but a steel hearted little madame underneath.

Hubby and I found ourselves laughing. I teach at an all boys comp. and I see these behaviours all the time. I am getting vicarous pleasure from watching this staff.

We are also currently dealing with a 15 yr old brat of a nephew who would not be living with us if he behaved at home. Hubby is ex-special forces and brooks no nonsense. We have had pretending to be sweet, innocent and helpful, cons, lies, theft, sullen, stubborn, stroppy, tears, blackmail, threats of running away & suicide, reported to social services for bullying (why ARE we doing this to ourselves?). I think he will join us for the next episode....

IMHO - the problem lies in parents saying YES way too many times.

I love it, cant wait for next week. I love to scare my own kids with be careful it could happen to you!! I also think it is funny that they are appauled at some of the behaviour as if they have never done it themselves!
