Me too. When I make it it is nice and gloopy though not as liquid as the daal that comes from the very good takeaway that (ahem, six degrees of separation moment) Grace and I both use. Though to be fair it thickens up a lot when I have it for breakfast the next day,

You share a takeaway with Grace? Well it’s obviously a fab takeaway but I’m also a bit jealous that you may get to spend time chatting with Grace

Dhal for breakfast sounds excellent.

Be interesting to see the state of the place in the morning

bungobungobungo · 08/09/2026 21:40

Did she use the wrong flour?

littlbrowndog · 08/09/2026 21:42

Haha love shakari

TheDogsMother · 08/09/2026 21:43

Very ambitious Shakira

I'm always interested in a good dhal recipe @viques <hopeful>

It’s the George Alaghai coconut Dal recipe on the bbc website . (Rip George) Though I put in much more garlic than he used and I also add in garam masala to up the seasoning. And I use chana dal rather than red lentils so cook them a bit longer.

You can get curry leaves in Sainsbury I find.

Ooh thx. I'll look that up.

The failed Yorkshires and failed choux look just the same.

I order on line so we never meet…….. I only know she uses it because she wrote about it in an article .

I don't like profiteroles and now we have twin croquembouches.... (sp?)

littlbrowndog · 08/09/2026 21:46

Emily’s look so good. Shakira not so much

PotterHead1985 · 08/09/2026 21:46

The difference in them croqs. Shakira is really slapping it together. That's not like her

Blimey. Emily is so good! I reckon she is a winner.

lettingthedaysgoby · 08/09/2026 21:47

littlbrowndog · 08/09/2026 21:48

PotterHead1985 · 08/09/2026 21:48

How many are we losing today?!

lettingthedaysgoby · 08/09/2026 21:48

Max's dish is a posey wankfest

TheDogsMother · 08/09/2026 21:48

Ive been trying to work out who Shakira sounds like. Just then she was just like Bubble in Ab Fab.

viques · 08/09/2026 21:48

All fur coat and no knickers Max.

littlbrowndog · 08/09/2026 21:49

What the heck is this 😂😂😂

Piggywaspushed · 08/09/2026 21:49

PotterHead1985 · 08/09/2026 21:46

Whaaat? Why not?

Many reasons - too sweet , too claggy, too profiteroley.

PotterHead1985 · 08/09/2026 21:49

Is that a yorkie croq?!?!

Halsall · 08/09/2026 21:49

That Yorkshire pudding stack looks horrific

At least it's not Janice in Friends. That was worse

viques · 08/09/2026 21:50

That Yorkshire pudding tower with the gravy poured over is the funniest thing I have ever seen on masterchef
