Well seeing as I did the threads last year I might as well kick things off again for 2026 now that the first teaser trailer has dropped.

If you haven’t seen it, watch here:

As a reminder, here’s the line up:

  • Amol Rajan – Journalist and Broadcaster
  • Bella Ramsey – Actor
  • James Acaster – Comedian and Podcaster
  • James Blunt – Singer/Songwriter
  • Jerry Hall – Model and Actress
  • Joanne McNally – Comedian
  • Joe Lycett – Comedian
  • Julie Hesmondhalgh – Actor
  • King Kenny – Content Creator
  • Leigh-Anne Pinnock – Singer/Songwriter
  • Maya Jama – Broadcaster and Entrepreneur
  • Michael Sheen – Actor and Presenter
  • Miranda Hart – Actor and Author
  • Myha’la – Actor
  • Professor Hannah Fry– Broadcaster and Mathematician
  • Richard E. Grant – Actor and Author
  • Rob Beckett – Comedian
  • Romesh Ranganathan – Comedian
  • Ross Kemp – Actor and Presenter
  • Sebastian Croft – Musician and Actor
  • Sharon Rooney – Actor

I’m guessing we’ll get 2 women and 1 man as the initial Traitors and hoping the Secret Traitor has been binned.

Will the Big Dog Theory come back? Will we get another Nick/Joe style bromance?

Feel free to espouse your theories on how it might play out.

Just because Richard E Grant is well spoken and nicely dressed, so many people are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and suspect there's a clever, strategic mind at work. The class system is alive and well.

Maybe class / appearances / accent. But if he'd been a woman - pretty sure everyone would've assumed over excited / stupid.

I do think it was a brain fart. Nothing strategic.

I find him creepy in general.
I’m sure he’ll make fantastic telly but there’s something I can’t stand about him. Plus I’d banish him at the first round table for making that catastrophic blunder but know what faithfuls in general are like, in today’s episode at the next mission someone will stop to re-tie their shoelaces and it will be instantly suspicious to enough people that they’re voted off yet someone declaring themselves a traitor will be swiftly brushed under the bloody carpet.
Having said that, I do actually think they’ll boot REG out early this year after last year with Alan being so blatantly a traitor and everyone turning a blind eye…

If they're sure he's a traitor, they'd be wise to keep him in so they don't have to start again from square one with a recruitment.

Have to stay in themselves as well, though.

It’s a shame - from that brilliantly fawning start Julie H would have made a fantastic Traitor!

Still plenty of time. She's clearly ingratiating herself

Oh i agree, he couldn't contain himself

OccasionalHope · Yesterday 17:53

What he should have done was pretend to have misheard the questions as what had he wanted to be, and then add, hopefully convincingly, how disappointed he was not to be...

He could just have said: I wish! And then said how disappointed he was.

DH thinks Ross Kemp is bluffing with the “vulnerable/paranoia” act. He thinks he trying to throw the Traitors off his scent.

I don’t @CaveMum I think he’s for real, I hope so too because it’s funny

There was no rational thinking or behaviour happening with him at that point 😂

I thought that for a moment then it went on.. and on.. it's him - he thinks he's a target all the time! Don't touch me!

BobbiBiscuits · Yesterday 18:01

he even jokingly said the parting is such sweet sorrow line, before bed. I think it flew over their heads, but he was joking. Shows how he's thinking about it (murders in plain sight) all the time.

Piggywaspushed · Yesterday 18:04

I am fond of Ross Kemp but he's not bright. He is a ridiculous luvvie, and he has zero sense of humour.

WonderfulSmith · Yesterday 18:08

Now I think about it the ‘green room’ effect does seem to make more sense. The round table selection scene would have been very staged and directed. Then they pop off to the bar. REG forgets what’s going on and is an actor chatting about his part.

Interesting chat with a colleague today. She is a generation younger than me and said ‘I wasn’t surprised that they picked Maya, she’s the biggest name in there’. She couldn’t believe that I didn’t know who she was!

I like Ross too. I wouldn't say he has zero sense of humour but I can't decide if he's either hyper aware of his "hard" image and the fact that being murdered first won't exactly enhance it or he's playing a good game by knowing he'll get good air time if he jumps like a flea every time someone touches him.

That's so funny. Surely Blunty is the biggest name in there - all generations have heard of him?

Piggywaspushed · Yesterday 18:26

My gen Z DSs have not heard of Jerry Hall who is an icon. Apart from Julie they knew all.the other older people. They don't know any of the people younger than Maya.

CatVester · Yesterday 18:31

DD who is 20 also did not know Jerry or Julie. And she had no idea who Ross Kemp was. I think she knew at least something about all the others.

She is pretty famous and has been around for a good decade or so. She is what Davina McCall used to be in the Big Brother era. However you'd need to have had a passing interest in Radio 1, Love Island, the Brit Awards and various panel shows for the last 15 years.

I had heard of her, but not seen her. She's impressive, so far.

I can’t take David Olusoga seriously since he was on the traitors and proved he’s not as clever as he’s made to look.

Michael Sheen is taking over House of Games 😭

I found David Olusoga very attractive- I love a history nerd with a great voice- but yeah, he wasn't very clever on Traitors last year.

Lori Singer! She was my favourite kid from fame

I was a Doris Schwartz fan, though I also fancied Bruno for reasons which are now not clear to me. Grin

The upper class twit is a well-known phenomenon.
