Well seeing as I did the threads last year I might as well kick things off again for 2026 now that the first teaser trailer has dropped.

I’m guessing we’ll get 2 women and 1 man as the initial Traitors and hoping the Secret Traitor has been binned.

Will the Big Dog Theory come back? Will we get another Nick/Joe style bromance?

I think it will mean the final will be the end of half term week (where I am), 29th and 30th October. I hope not actually as I'm away that week! I'll be back on the 30th, might have to try to avoid internet until I get home to watch the last two in one night...

My main worry is that Myha’la has, over several years, played one of my all time favourite fictional characters, in one of the great shows of our time - Industry. And there’s another season to come. So I really need her to be brilliant, or at least quietly neutral, so as not to destroy the illusion of being a total goddess.

I may not be back in time to watch the first episode - I’m away and will be travelling back that afternoon/evening, so may need to hand the reins over to someone else if the thread fills. My plan is to watch on catch up if I’m not back in time to watch live.

I’m so excited but have to watch with DD and she sometimes works evenings. Not this week luckily but it might be tricky ongoing

going by the bbc article, I've a funny feeling they'll pick traitors from each category - so one comedian, one actor, one musician.

I'm so excited for this! I don't generally watch the regular series (too many episodes to keep up and reality tv isn't really my thing) but was drawn in to the celebrity version last year by the big names in it - was delighted Alan won as I found Joe a bit annoying and had irrational hate for Nick being part way through Ted Lasso at the time 😆. Fingers crossed it's just as good.

These were my initial thoughts.

I think I remember Richard Osman saying previously that they had a few last minute drop outs (probably sports people) hence the large number of comedians, who can probably be more flexible with their schedules.

Can’t wait for this to start - it’s suddenly come round very quickly! Rob Beckett annoys me.

I love Hannah Fry so will be rooting for her.

Looking forward to those chosen to be a traitor. Have played the game with people I know in real life and as a faithful, all I did was facilitate the Traitors. Useful idiot 😁 I was the last faithful to go.

It seems to be getting good reviews from the critics who have seen ep 1 . With some new twists . I am pleased as thought it might be difficult to top the first series . I also didn’t really watch much of the non celeb versions . I tried to watch them with my daughter and she got bored . We tried also to watch the episodes at the same time when in different locations . I think that would only really work if you watched it as the episode aired . We got a bit confused where we were and I think unintentionally gave spoilers for the other .

I'm thinking that Rob and also James Acaster will be massively irritating and probably piss people off hugely. They are both really bloody annoying and I can imagine patience would wear thin quickly among some of the other contestants.

Last season was so very amicable (mostly) but I reckon we are in for some argy bargy this time round as there are some real potential aggravators. I am rooting for Miranda Hart and James Blunt. I am also looking forward to being either proved right or pleasantly surprised by some who I have earmarked as Luvvies or just plain Fecking Nightmares.

Richard and Marina have done a pre-show debrief in today’s TRIE. They say they have not seen anything and have actively avoided spoilers.

Also confirmed they will be doing reaction shows, starting after Friday’s episode which Marinacwikl do with “Welsh” Charlotte.
