Well seeing as I did the threads last year I might as well kick things off again for 2026 now that the first teaser trailer has dropped.

If you haven’t seen it, watch here:

As a reminder, here’s the line up:

  • Amol Rajan – Journalist and Broadcaster
  • Bella Ramsey – Actor
  • James Acaster – Comedian and Podcaster
  • James Blunt – Singer/Songwriter
  • Jerry Hall – Model and Actress
  • Joanne McNally – Comedian
  • Joe Lycett – Comedian
  • Julie Hesmondhalgh – Actor
  • King Kenny – Content Creator
  • Leigh-Anne Pinnock – Singer/Songwriter
  • Maya Jama – Broadcaster and Entrepreneur
  • Michael Sheen – Actor and Presenter
  • Miranda Hart – Actor and Author
  • Myha’la – Actor
  • Professor Hannah Fry– Broadcaster and Mathematician
  • Richard E. Grant – Actor and Author
  • Rob Beckett – Comedian
  • Romesh Ranganathan – Comedian
  • Ross Kemp – Actor and Presenter
  • Sebastian Croft – Musician and Actor
  • Sharon Rooney – Actor

I’m guessing we’ll get 2 women and 1 man as the initial Traitors and hoping the Secret Traitor has been binned.

Will the Big Dog Theory come back? Will we get another Nick/Joe style bromance?

Feel free to espouse your theories on how it might play out.

DH says he doesn’t think his attention span lasts longer than 10 seconds under any circumstance 😬

No idea if intentional but your double post with this comment made me laugh harder than it probably should have done 🤣

DH says he doesn’t think his attention span lasts longer than 10 seconds under any circumstance 😬

And this is your DH’s observation from having dinner with him for ‘professional reasons’. Wow, got to admire the professionalism of you sharing this comment with us 🙄

This is such a good spirited thread for an entertainment show, any reason we’re commenting in such a negative and intrusive way about the private lives of several of the cast? It’s much nicer to stick to just the entertaining gameplay and tactics.

*edited to say I see it was a friend’s dinner party not professional reasons. Even worse, tbh.

Nothing will ever beat s2 final of Australia Traitors 🤣

That guy was sinister - a proper psycho

AlwaysExtraHot · Yesterday 15:44

He should have dramatically paused and said I WISH !!! No sadly I am faithful, of course!!
I agree, that was the way to style it out.
I think he got overexcited and forgot himself for a second. Maya must want to strangle him Grin
She's very funny and smart. I like her. I think they've kept Amol and I think he'll be a good traitor; no one has mentioned his name.
I thought it was Rob who called Jerry bossy. Either way, it's definitely a 'tell' for misogyny. He and Rob are both too pleased with themselves IMO.
I want Hannah to win.

Pretty sure it was Romesh who said Jerry was bossy. He made another comment about a woman on there but I can’t remember what. Hope it is just editing because I really like him

Couldn't wait to switch off left me cold. It's like big brother but worse.

Contents awful too talking about murdering each other. Even though they aren't going too it's so grim and heavy heating it.

Give me something fun and light-hearted or a concert or a musical any day .
I felt a massive weight lifted when I switched off.

Was that with Sam the traitor? I couldn't finish that series, I found it unwatchable. I heard about the ending and that was sooooo predictable. What a shit and unsatisfying way to end the game.

It wasn't shit or unsatifsying it was pure poetic justice.

awaynboilyurheid · Yesterday 16:00

Think Ramesh often does little digs disguised as “ humour “ I’m not keen on him
Really enjoying it , the paranoia of Ross Kemp is so funny he’s about as tough as butter, looks like a hard man but is def not!

It was just split or steal; nothing to do with the game of Traitors itself and it was so obvious from the off what was going to happen.

But the woman they'd patronisingly brought in, assuming she was an idiot and they could pull the wool over her eyes, stole what they were certain was victory from them. And then they behaved like the biggest babies in the world.

Do we think REG has only signed on for a short time abs hopes to be voted off fairly early?

same as Paloma did last year

Me too re: James Acaster. I so hope he stays. I have to admit I have found him quite annoying in the past (I'm an autistic woman and autistic men are sometimes too much for me, but I really feel for him and admire him after last night's ep)

I know what you mean. I've always found him a bit annoying (partly maybe because he looks like an ex of mine). But I was surprised at how likeable he was last night.

The thing is I also like Amol as well so I'll be sorry to see either go.

Doubt it, he was far too pleased to be chosen as a traitor. I never noticed before how creepy his smile is.

He really was!

He really couldn’t cope with his rightful comeuppance either. Definitely satisfying but that whole series left a sour taste

AMarkAMissionABrandAScar · Yesterday 16:45

You could see the wheels turning in both of the faithfuls' heads - "Why did I try and bash home to everyone else that it was clearly Richard and make myself a target?!"

Slugfest · Yesterday 16:46

I think Richard's overwhrlming joy and sheer excitement at being picked got the better of him. I hope he stays he is hilarious.

I find him creepy in general.
I’m sure he’ll make fantastic telly but there’s something I can’t stand about him. Plus I’d banish him at the first round table for making that catastrophic blunder but know what faithfuls in general are like, in today’s episode at the next mission someone will stop to re-tie their shoelaces and it will be instantly suspicious to enough people that they’re voted off yet someone declaring themselves a traitor will be swiftly brushed under the bloody carpet.
Having said that, I do actually think they’ll boot REG out early this year after last year with Alan being so blatantly a traitor and everyone turning a blind eye…

Madcats · Yesterday 17:02

It has probably been mentioned a billion times up thread but, if I were a Faithful, it would feel like near certainty that REG was indeed a Traitor so I would aim to keep him in for as long as possible whilst trying to stay under the radar that I was certain. Throw a few other names into the mix to muddy the water.

If they keep eliminating Traitors, there is a huge risk that somebody you trust will get recruited.

3 more hours...

Mimosaandonwards · Yesterday 17:03

I like both James and Amol so will be disappointed whichever one of them leaves.

I can't see Richard being around for long, even if he manages to calm things down over the next couple of episodes.

fiveminutestochill · Yesterday 17:09

HeinousBeaker · Yesterday 12:31

The Guardian is live blogging all the episodes this year. I read it through this morning and It made me laugh quite a lot. I liked this “They are opening a crate on the boat. They have 90 seconds to escape before the boat explodes. If they don’t, the boat will 100% explode and people will literally die. This is The Traitors after all, a show that would definitely blow up Jerry Hall for exiting a boat in a slightly tardy fashion.”

I said almost the same thing to DH... I know it's done for dramatic effect, but I'm fairly certain we'd have heard if the BBC accidentally blew up Ross Kemp 😆. Mind you The Traitors with Squid Game twist would make for good tv.

I enjoyed last night, don't mind who they keep. Can't quite work out of REG was being clever or idiotic but we'll see. Looking forward to tonight.

Umbilicat · Yesterday 17:19

I work with actors, although I am not an actor myself.

It's not a criticism of them, but most of them are not academically bright, their talent is emoting, not analysis. People often confuse the ones with the appropriate looks and accents to play brainy people (especially posh ones) with the brainy characters they're cast as. But there's very little crossover.

So although I've never met REG I wouldn't be at all surprised to find him fall into that deceptive category.

The one I found funny was Julie, who purely because of her accent/looks/age was voted dependable/trustworthy/non-threatening, fawning all over the other actors. She might be dependable and trustworthy IRL, she might not, but she's obviously a massive luvvie.

CarTrap · Yesterday 17:37

Just because Richard E Grant is well spoken and nicely dressed, so many people are prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and suspect there's a clever, strategic mind at work. The class system is alive and well.

MayIDestroyYou · Yesterday 17:37

It’s a shame - from that brilliantly fawning start Julie H would have made a fantastic Traitor!
