Well seeing as I did the threads last year I might as well kick things off again for 2026 now that the first teaser trailer has dropped.

If you haven’t seen it, watch here:

As a reminder, here’s the line up:

  • Amol Rajan – Journalist and Broadcaster
  • Bella Ramsey – Actor
  • James Acaster – Comedian and Podcaster
  • James Blunt – Singer/Songwriter
  • Jerry Hall – Model and Actress
  • Joanne McNally – Comedian
  • Joe Lycett – Comedian
  • Julie Hesmondhalgh – Actor
  • King Kenny – Content Creator
  • Leigh-Anne Pinnock – Singer/Songwriter
  • Maya Jama – Broadcaster and Entrepreneur
  • Michael Sheen – Actor and Presenter
  • Miranda Hart – Actor and Author
  • Myha’la – Actor
  • Professor Hannah Fry– Broadcaster and Mathematician
  • Richard E. Grant – Actor and Author
  • Rob Beckett – Comedian
  • Romesh Ranganathan – Comedian
  • Ross Kemp – Actor and Presenter
  • Sebastian Croft – Musician and Actor
  • Sharon Rooney – Actor

I’m guessing we’ll get 2 women and 1 man as the initial Traitors and hoping the Secret Traitor has been binned.

Will the Big Dog Theory come back? Will we get another Nick/Joe style bromance?

Feel free to espouse your theories on how it might play out.

Richard E Grant was just so thrilled he got "the main part" he couldn't contain himself. He reminds me of the part Hugh Grant played in Paddington..was it Phoenix Buchanan ..an eternal narcissist
.this series will be fun

Joliloily · 01/10/2026 23:33

Richard definitely dropped a bollock. I can’t see him lasting. I like so many of them in this, it’s going to be a great series. Thank you Richard for such a good start. I agree about James Blunt, I’ll get in the queue. Ross is hilarious.

Aaaah I’m so glad I’ve found this thread. Tonight’s episode was brilliant.

For the comments not knowing about Maya Jama, she is easily my favourite celeb, she’s so down to earth and lovely in real life and doesn’t let anything go to her head. She’s had various roles in the spotlight dating way back to 2014ish. Mainly presenting shows, hosting radios etc she’s done the Brit Awards and some bits for FIFA, also the Circle and Radio 1. Now she has her own skincare range, collabs with PLT and Rimmel. She’s also had a part in The Gentlemen s2 recently. I was happy to see she’s a traitor!

Shame we only get 2 episodes a week though!

Are you her PR rep? 😉I didn't know her before Traitors but she does seem very nice!

As a cynical bugger, I'm surprised by the fact that I really like everyone so far. I like Amol as he's a local (to me) working class boy done good. But James Acaster will be such good value.

Crumbelina · 01/10/2026 23:41

I loved Jerry and Richard talking about the fact that they're neighbours. She lives in a big posh house in Richmond and he lives in a gorgeous house in Petersham. I live close by but in a much less posh area. That said, Richard once got on the 65 bus and sat in front of me. I was 😮

newrubylane · 01/10/2026 23:51

I genuinely think Richard only agreed to go on it on condition they made him a traitor.

UncleColm · 02/10/2026 00:06

I really enjoyed it this evening...lots of interesting people in the Castle. I love Joanne McNally and Rob. And Hannah Fry. I think they'll keep Amol.

TBH he's getting on my nerves. He's not funny. So disappointed he was chosen as a traitor, think his ego is big enough without that

We thought he was funny at the beginning. Now feel it's such a shame that the whole thrust appears to be to save Richard which may result in sacrificing James which would be a real loss - especially as he said he didn't want to be a traitor. Unless of course Maya is thinking a few steps ahead and has agreed to go with Amol and James precisely because they throw heat on Richard?

QueenJelly · 02/10/2026 01:33

I think Maya has swung it so that she can throw Richard under the bus without it being too obvious. She’s very smart. And she was in the room when Ross announced (again) that he thought Bella had murdered him in plain sight with the hat. If she had told Richard about that in the tower, it would have been the perfect opportunity to take the heat off Richard. She didn’t take it.

(And we were half expecting Maya to turn to Claudia and say “Please can I keep both of them and kill Richard instead?”)

DotHog · 02/10/2026 05:11

atomicnotsoblonde · 01/10/2026 20:51

Yes! Where do you think it’s from?

It’s from Brora.
Sinead Mckeefry is her stylist. If you follow her on Instagram, she posts where Claudia’s clothes are from for each episode.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 02/10/2026 05:20

Such a shame Joe asked Richard, Hopefully Richard can style it out.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 02/10/2026 05:22

if Amol goes it is because he didnt play the game properly
you dont go in guns blazing, first rule of traitors

Agree, I think that was the case with Jonathan Ross too

Mintyt · 02/10/2026 07:15

i would as a traitor at the table turn on Richard and vote him at a Traitor, then bring back whoever has to leave as a secret traitor

MrsLeonFarrell · 02/10/2026 07:16

I found Richard a disappointment, I thought he'd be better at the game than that. In Uncloaked even dear Kate Garraway knew how he could have styled it out. I hope he doesn't being Maya down because I liked her at first sight, having never seen her in anything.

The only celebrity I want to see gone yesterday is Miranda. I don't think her arch schtick works very well on this.

It's a great group, even those I don't really recognise seem interesting and into the game. I wonder if Hannah Fry will be too obviously clever and get herself murdered. She is clearly good at remembering conversations and who has been mentioned etc which you need as a faithful. That would be a pity as I can see her doing a Series 4 Matthew role but being more successful.

friedaklein · 02/10/2026 07:30

I am a big Traitors fan and have watched all the UK series, as well as US, Oz and NZ.
Here is a casting issue I mentioned last year and want to mention again. In every series of UK Traitors, one Traitor has always been a WoC. Anyone who watches Traitors regularly will know that. This actually puts a target on the WoC in the game, though of course it's done with good intentions. I hope no one's noticed this and Maya survives, as I like her.

CaveMum · 02/10/2026 07:34

Morning all! Just to confirm these threads are a spoiler-free zone. I will put it in the title of the next thread (and I’m sure there will be many!). We’ll keep it at tv pace though so as long as people are up to date on episodes they’ll be fine.

I fell asleep listening to Uncloaked so will have to catch up this morning!

Roll on 8pm!

PuppyMonkey · 02/10/2026 07:36

Yeah. I do think over an hour of The Traitors followed immediately by Uncloaked for 45 mins was stretching the whole thing out a bit too long TBF. Grin

Wonder will they do that every episode?

friedaklein · 02/10/2026 07:36

oh gosh, can we discuss past Traitors series? Is my post a spoiler? Will ask for it to be deleted if so.

Thegirlwhowent · 02/10/2026 07:37

I love James Acaster and Amol is annoying so I hope they get rid of him. The task made me laugh - are we supposed to believe the boat might explode (or all those fireworks could go off) while a load of people are still on board?

PuppyMonkey · 02/10/2026 07:38

@friedaklein those shows have already been broadcast so you’re fine imho.

Anything that's already been on TV can't be a spoiler.

We had that last year too. Alan Carr running in slow motion like Tom Cruise while a boat of fireworks went off behind him. 😂
I always find the tasks super dull except for a few. They should shake them up.

No you’re fine! By spoiler I mean posting rumours that people gave read online about yet to be broadcast episodes.

As all past series are at least 9 months old they’re fair game!

Great, thanks! Hard to discuss without mentioning past episodes.
I am inclined to believe that Richard only agreed to join if made a Traitor, and then thought the drinks session was not filmed or some such.

ShiftySquirrel · 02/10/2026 07:47

I'm loving both James's and I hope Acaster is kept in. They both make me laugh. Richard was hilarious. And Maya has been good so far (I didn't know her before this).

Personally I'd have chosen Ross and James Acaster to try to recruit. Killed off Ross, to throw heat elsewhere and then kept JA as a traitor.

I'm going away with friends tonight and not back until Sunday... I've asked for an update on our family chat tonight before I can catch up!
