So gutted he didn’t go for Shevonique. I think they were much better suited. Just because she kept it light for the first few dates, which to me is a much more natural progression. Make sure you can laugh and have fun together before you “go deep” and splurge it all out there. And her job is far more interesting.
Francesca gave me major pick me vibes! I think he will switch when they are out in real life.

Ciara is a Grade A bore. Her accent sounds off as well, I don’t think she is as posh as she is trying to make out.

I really like Jack, but I have terrible taste. He seems really genuine with Faye. I’m astonished that she hasn’t had a boyfriend since she was 18, she is beautiful with a great personality.

Yasmin and Jordan makes me sad, he clearly isn’t into her.

Ryan and Cuba are so humourless, and not as unconventional as they think they are. I do like Cuba, Ryan though is a nob.

I like Joseph’s laugh I don’t think it will work out with his match though.

So much fakeness. I can't even listen to Ryan's voice. And Ciara is just all about the money. She's absolutely awful.

I love Jack. That’s probably because he reminds me of my adhd son who is charmer that will lovehard but chaotically when he is older.

Also the one to that describes himself as a head of year instead of just saying a teacher! Probably matches well with the one that says they are like a Dr (physicians associate). Both very narcissistic descriptions of their professions!

Whilst it’s nice to have a heap of episodes to watch, it’s frustrating to not have the natural break points to discuss what’s happening.

I like That they’ve found some very handsome men who seem like they want to be married and have a family.

The spiritual man is the walking ickiest ick that ever Icked and Cuba was clearly repulsed at the reveal.

Ciara is so annoying, wants all the attention and to be the victim and the hero, whist coming over as gold digging drama queen.

I’m not at the end yet but my thoughts do far…

Taylor and Sophie are giving me Gavin and Stacey vibes.
Yasmin is so lovely but Jordan is just not that into her. There’s no spark and she needs to experience other relationships.
Cuba needs to run a mile, her bloke is completely self focused. He doesn’t want to send his future kids to school but I can’t see him putting his very important life on hold to focus on homeschooling them.
Ciara’s bloke needs to run a mile. She is such a shit stirrer (not sure how you spell that) he is lovely and deserves much better. She has a lot of growing up to do.
I really like Joseph and Francesca and can see them working out.
I think Faye is in for a rough ride if she sticks with Jack and she’ll need buckets of patience but I think they actually could bring the best out in each other so I’d like them to work out.

Overall though I can’t help thinking that they all need to not get married, just go through the experience because I guess they’re contractually obliged to but make an agreement to say no at the alter and then just date afterwards and see if it works out. That would be the sensible thing to do!

Yes, I agree - don’t think 8 episodes should be released at once. Maybe 1-3 would make more sense.

I really do not like Jack at all. He is so so so irritating and immature - he’s clearly not ready for a relationship. I also feel sorry for Cuba as she’s with a guy who’s completely unwilling to put their partner first. Ryan doesn’t seem relationship material at all. I think the women (bar Ajay and maybe Joseph at a push) are coming across much better than the men. Ajay seems the most mature and level headed.

Isn’t there a thing, maybe just the US version whereby in most cases the women have applied but the men were approached via Insta?…hence why the women are more ready and engaged and the men are seeing it as a jolly?

@MintChocCat it was said by a YouTuber I watch during the last US series. I watch Reality Receipts and Jessie Woo but Jessie hasn’t covered this series yet. I also watch Taits Take but he does humour rather than analysis

Yes a lot of the US men mention being approached on insta for the show. Though of course once one admits it, they all probably say to make themselves appear desirable and not desperate.

I hadn’t considered drugs, more the possibility of a hookup with someone he already knew either in real life or through social media. Sort of “I’m in London now, I can definitely slip away for a few hours.” Drugs would make sense though, not sure West Ham is the ideal place for a leisurely stroll.

how would Faye know from his location that he’s at a drug dealer’s house or wherever drugs are procured (i’ve never done it in my life), and i’m guessing it would take 5 minutes anyway.

@Brooklyn70 he probably turned off Find my Friends because he got an uber wherever he was going, then was just in one or two places for a long time. So it would have been obvious that he wasn’t actually walking. What he was doing in those places, I don’t know.

I can't read the whole thread because I am only on ep 5 but weirdly Ciara reminds me of Erin from derry Girls.
