He was an absolute arsehole! Right from the start I didn’t like him. I feel sorry for Cuba but, tbh, can’t understand why she pretty much left it to him to make the decision! If I was her I’d have been out there by the 2nd work trip, max! Honestly, probably before that. I understand the need to recharge, I get it, but several days?! After each trip? I really don’t believe he was in it for genuine reasons at all. I think if he was he’d have handled the whole work thing a lot differently.
It seemed to me that everyone on there had some kind of job (maybe not Ajay at that point), but were able to manage that against the time they were supposed to be getting to know each other, living together. It has really made me feel that perhaps he was on there to raise his profile as a “public speaker”. I did Google that one, I know what a public speaker is, per se, but wondered what it actually meant, like are they basically a hire-a-gob or did they specialise, or were more like motivational speakers, etc. Anyway, as for raising his profile, if that was his game, I think he’s done himself no favours and has ended up looking like a bit of a knob. He couldn’t have been so desperately broke that he had to do those trips? Obviously there are pre-existing arrangements, but they must’ve known they were going on there quite a while in advance, and how long it would potentially last, surely?
I do feel sad for Cuba that she let it get to that stage. Obviously I don’t know her, so couldn’t say I was disappointed in her staying for so long, but I do feel that she should’ve stood up for herself and got out of there before relying on him to decide. I am pleased that he did it before the wedding though, but I saw that coming a mile off, I just hoped it would’ve been Cuba making the decision instead, although I do understand - to a degree - that his family situation must’ve been hard and it would be more difficult to make that decision while someone was going through a bereavement, especially as the timescale is so squashed up.
