Could be that the baby is measuring small, didn’t the dates and size indicate baby was conceived before she slept with Vinny, but Vinny is only small…

but then they dated her two weeks earlier, so when baby comes early they will say he’s x weeks early and Vinny will click

god knows how they will play it

I don't think they can date accurately enough to be sure within 14 days. The issue is, it will (probably) be obvious when the baby is born whether Vinny is the father. I wonder if Penny is actually around long enough to care, given drunken Jack is looking after Ethan on NYD.

I wondered if that was a bit of foreshadowing today when Penny said something along the lines of how she’d die or kill for the baby.

I've mentioned on an earlier thread that I know a half Asian baby who looks completely white. Mum is Asian but baby has inherited everything from her Irish dad. Genetics can be funny and Penny might pull it off even if the baby is Harry's. Suki will be deeply suspicious though and demand a DNA test. Penny will have to rustle up yet another fake one after the one she did for Nicola. What a tangled web we weave...

Exactly this .. a friend of mine has two children from the same dad, she’s white and he’s black African.. one of their children is fair white skin tone, blonde with blue eyes, the other has dark skin tone Afro hair, dark brown eyes to be honest you wouldn’t expect either child was mixed 🤣 .. It wouldn’t be a push to see baby Ethan - not very cultural name.. to be light skin toned even if he is Vinnies.

Does anyone else remember Nicola going on holiday with her sister a while ago?
Yet here we see her with sisters who appear not to have seen her kids for years, don’t know where her house is and who she can’t wait to get rid of.

Yes I remember that. There was some reason they wanted Nicola out the picture if I'm remembering right.

I think it's the same child but she has just grown a lot since we last saw her!

I had the same experience with a childhood friend who was mixed race. Her skin colour and features looked a 50/50 mix of each parent, but her brother looked white. At least he did till he was about 12 when his skin darkened, by the time he was 16 he was darker than my friend. But they won't go there on EE, far too complex!

@MadisonAvenue I think Nic has been on two holidays with Gemma. One was quite a while ago when Teddy was still around. Then again more recently.

It’s a long shot, but maybe the young Nicola had the car tampered with that the dad drove off in. I can’t make out how old she was , so I’m probably barking up the wrong tree , or someone else did something to it and she got the blame for him driving off drunk. The mother is clearly horrible , but good at playing the victim.
Did she say how old she was when he died ? May have missed that bit. I’m sure that this isn’t the end of this particular saga : more to it maybe? Teddy looked worried about Ned turning up. Gemma’s husband.

Nicola did go and stay with her sister this year I think.
Can’t remember why. Must have been whilst she was pregnant with Ivy as it wasn’t earlier last year.

She'd already left home, as she was visiting with Jodie's birthday present. I doubt she tampered with it as she didn't know he was there. I think he just flipped it as he was angry and drunk.

Oh yes, so she wasn’t living at home and wouldn’t have time to tamper with the car.

That was a dreadful episode.

The sisters are annoying panto characters. They are not even written coherently, Gemma arrives saying she brought the guy in the boot to Nicola ‘because this isn’t in mum’s wheelhouse’. Then Rose shows up and immediately shows it is exactly in her wheelhouse. It makes no sense.

I am already fed up with Nicola’s conflicted-angry-sadness-excuses. The dad car crash story is unimaginatively similar to Jasmine’s - ‘my fault but not really my fault, but my mother blames me’.

(Oh I just thought of another supposed dad killer - George. They are obsessed with it on EE.)

Amy and Craig. Terribly written scenes, terrible acting.

Vinny and Penny haven’t got any less boring.

Seen a few reports this afternoon that Johnny’s leaving too.

Nicola's sisters and mother were very like pantomine characters, I'd be quite happy not seeing any of them again!
Also uncomfortable about violence being seen as a joke.
Vinnie really annoyed me telling Penny she didn't seem so interested in the baby as the shop, she has the baby growing inside her, she's doing plenty for it!

The actress who plays the mum is fine, but I feel like I've seen a character similar to Rose a million times in EE. I don't know about Patricia Potter and her 'cor blimey guv-na' accent. Maybe she'll be OK in time. The other actress seems inexperienced.

Yes I agree Rose is a good actor, but she is a soap battleaxe cliche.
Gemma seems like a re-run of a Bea type character, supposedly zany but very annoying.

How many times due we have to endure secret meet ups with Amy and Craig with him being all creepy and saying "you can tell me anything" "I've got your back". I definitely don't think it's grooming/sexual thing I think they're trying to make us that but we're too clued up on here

I'm not sure about the sisters as a one off fine but that sort of nonsense wouldn't work as regular characters.

I wish Teddy Jumpers would come back.

Me too. Although I’m enjoying Nic with George, even though he’s too tame for her.

I didn't mind Teddy and he had a nice selection of jumpers. He was definitely a better match for Nicola.
