The report says she'll return for a few guest episodes shown around new year, and then return properly in 2027. So it could be her with a bun in the new year oven. I hope not, because loading Stacey down with yet another child would not be a good start.

@Alucard55 Yes, some of them. But Priya and Linda pulled out because they were shagging / wanted to shag Max. And Max was late because Ravi beat him up for shagging Priya, and then he got pissed because he want to shag Linda. So Cindy was justified in being a tiny bit put out!

Didnt he cause her first born to die. She hounded Bobby out of town for killing Lucy but here she is heartbroken over max being max and having an affair

@mumofoneisonozempic I completely agree, they are a wholly implausible pairing. For me that’s why this week’s episodes have kind of left me cold - I just don’t ‘believe’ she would ever have a relationship with him. Also, he slept with Lucy!

Yes, I don't know how he manages to pull off the balding ginger egg thing while still being someone you still would. It's one of the great mysteries of the world.

I’ve always been a fan of Jamie Bamber so happy to see him but the rest of the family just grate so far.
loved kim at her wedding she looked stunning and was gracious to Cindy.
i know we aren’t meant to laugh but Cindy dancing to skunk annansie by herself had me cackling

Yeah 'huge' things have happened this week @Southeastdweller but have fallen flat due to just being awfully thought out! (Bar Kim's wedding and growth)

The whole wedding fallout was watched with a straight face here - although did love Cindy's awkward dance to skunk amansie @ihadamarvelloustimeruiningeverything - i get the vision, shes supposed to be iconic, but again, fell flat 😩😄

So Zoe got Julia’s Theme in today’s episode and I did find it a little poignant when it was playing as Kat cried out in the street, but otherwise the episode was as underwhelming as I expected with the predictable crap acting from the usual suspects.

Yes! you're right about the music, it was Cold Little Heart, it was used over the title sequence in Big Little Lies.

I think Max and Cindy could have worked. Two damaged people drawn together. But it didn't work because the storyline was too accelerated to fit in with the blasted flash forward. If they had given it more time to breathe, I'd have believed it.

It was so rushed! - everything is though, zero natural character development

Had they made Cindy more mature, having learned from her previous mistakes, maybe she couldve grown to accept Bobby and then eventually max, even falling for him ?!

They'd have a few 2 hander episodes where he expresses genuine remorse for sleeping with Lucy, Stephen etc , we'd be reintroduced to the man who was so traumatised he cant be a good husband, and her so damaged she is learning to be a better person.

She couldve left ian for george, before realising that she just needs to move forwards, focusing on being a mum and nan - therefore becoming a real pat butcher character. Thats how you make an icon!

You dont have cindy beale begging max for scraps and then dancing 'iconically' to skunk anansie only to be forgotten about next week when she needs to be shoehorned into another storyline

I do wonder the significance of the big little lies song though - like, they already did that with the 6 storyline 🤔

Max never really expressed any remorse about causing Steven's death, I recall he mumbled "I'm sorry about what happend" to Cindy once and that was it. They have also never addressed him sleeping with Lucy.

It is beyond belief that a mother would forgive any man for either of those transgressions but maybe that is the whole point - Cindy is not a good mother and always puts herself first. She cannot be bothered to spend time with Cindy jr and her grandchild and has she even met her other grand-daughter, Abbie jr? She lives with Tanya so not that far away but Cindy never mentions going to visit. Peter only puts up with her nonsense becuase he is so gormless. Awful all round really!

Been reading the comments and so on and it all sounds so bizarre. Cindy has never danced before lol
i wonder of the producer has done this with Linda as she was going to be Tanya and they didn’t cast her. Who knows.
Poor Zoe , Kat will be devastated and a really lame ending for her ( by the sounds of it )
