Ah ok! Thank you, I was v confused. I’ve never been able to follow Kim and Denise’s parentage story. I remember years ago they were worried they were not sisters (which doesn’t make sense if they have the same mother?) and then one or both of them thought Patrick was their dad🤔

I’ve remembered the mum lives in St Lucia.
Denise went to visit her after the Ken business and was gone for so long Jack had Jack ended up having that affair with Stacey.

They must have tested Libby, but it has all been quite shoddily done and they sometimes just throw in a comment rather than 'showing' us.

Emerald was once briefly in Walford, she arrived for Raymond's birth. Caused a bit of mayhem, went home.

Edit - it's amazing how Darnell went from 'what a nice normal chap' in his first episode to 'what a pain in the backside' in his third!

I have no recollection of Emerald but I wasn’t watching much around the time Raymond was born. That was a crazy storyline with Phil and Denise. I still don’t understand it to this day.

I think the Foxes mentioned in passing that they contacted various family members for the testing and then it was just announced none of them were a match.

The Denise / Phil hook up was so weird. She let Raymond be adopted and then they got him
back for the kiddie cupboard for years!

They were both drunk when they had that one night stand. The relationship she had with Ian is what I could never understand!

Denise has had a lot of dreadful partners! Either serial killers or drug dealers (if you count Ravi) or completely unsuited. Or Jack&Jack.

Oh god, I forgot about the relationship with Ian. Denise has made some extremely odd choices.

Raymond seems remarkably well adjusted given his adoptive parents died tragically and he was just handed over to Denise and Phil who were complete strangers. You’d think extended members of the adoptive family would visit him but it’s never mentioned. I do remember his gangsta granny played by Mica Paris - she was brilliant!

Kevin, Lucas, Ian, Phil, Kush, Ravi, JacknJack..

Such a random assortment of hot fit men and dreadful ones. She doesn’t exactly have a ‘type’ does she😂

Denise was only with Ian for plot purposes really. She was with him when Lucy was killed. They were even engaged once.
Jack and Jack was also engaged to Sharon once as well. They like to pick and mix the characters

Jack was engaged to Sharon?? I don't remember that!

Shelling, Sharon came back after a period away and met Jack and they fell instantly in love. Was a long time ago though , but they didn’t get married in the end.

I am worried where Lily and Charli will go. Jacks place is full and they can’t afford to rent anywhere else.
The Vic is tiny and also full up as well. Zac will be looking for a place to live as well.

The Vic is a Tardis so Lily and Charli will be fine. Zoe and Tommy are not there so they can go in one of their rooms and Jean and Mo in the other😂 It’s a complete mystery where they all sleep. No-one ever mentions sharing a room and no-one sleeps in the front room.

Thanks 80s, I have no memory at all of Jack and sharon.

I agree the Vic is a Tardis, they will all squeeze in there. Anyway Sean is arriving and will probably have loads of cash, so will rent/buy them all somewhere.

When Charli and Lily went to the Vic at Christmas time ( I can’t remember why, but Jean had gone away I think ? ) Lily had her cot in a big room we haven’t seen since with a bed in it too. They have acquired Jasmine since then and Zoe and Tommy will return as well soon, so it’s very overcrowded isn’t it.

I was wondering if Sean will want to rent a place for them all. He must have money. They have to go somewhere.

I wonder if Darnell and daughter ( whose name I can’t recall ) will come to live there? Or just a random character so Denise can get the stem cells and he’ll disappear again.
I hope that Amy sees sense soon.
New family might be interesting. I can see Gemma being annoying , but the others might be ok.
Nicola will have lots to do!

From what the actor said in his intro interview it sounds like Darnell is there for a while

Christopher said: “I am thrilled to be finally moving to Walford after all these years, and the welcome I’ve received has been phenomenal. Hearing I’d got the role was an absolute doof doof moment for me… hopefully there’ll be plenty more of those to come!”

80s Darnell's daughter is Grace, I think.

I'm hoping the new characters will bring a bit of spice into the square.
It just seems to be a roundabout of boring recycled storylines lately.

I’m sure the new family will be interesting for a while! i am looking forwards to new faces.

If Sean is coming back to the square, where is Stacey? I thought she went to Brazil to work with him in his bar? So along with the completely implausible scenario where she was able to move there at the drop of a hat with her kids (no visa etc), will there now be an equally ridiculous update that she is now running the bar without him (despite not speaking a word of Portuguese and lacking bar management skills).

Although knowing Stacey she has probably met a new man and DC4 is on the way.

Darnell and Grace will end up at Patrick’s or Jacks. There is always space for faaaamily on EE.

I'm sure Stacey will be back too, although as she's in Strictly I doubt she will feature much this year. There is still a possibility she is the woman in Max's bed.

It wouldn't make any sense for Sean to return and Stacey to be left in Brazil.

Priya may not keep the baby. It is so confusing watching the very pregnant actress pretending to be 3 months pregnant and considering a termination.

I think Sean will be back before Stacey, I’m predicting Jean’s money situation will worsen and he’ll come to the rescue, which is a tenuous reason as they aren’t close, but I can’t think why else he would return without Stacey.

Tenuous indeed but it will make a change as when relatives return to the square they are usually the ones in debt/running from a criminal and need bailing out so for once it’s the other way around. Although I’m sure Sean will bring some dodgy drama or other to Jean’s door.

If it was real life , wouldn’t Suki need to put her eviction notice in writing ? Wouldn’t Jean be entitled to a council place as she is Lily’s grandmother and they have Charli who is only 3 or 4 or whatever she is soon. Surely there is something she can do ? You would need some temporary accommodation, but as that would mean moving , they will probably end up with Kat and Alfie.
