I wonder why Zoe got let go. She wasn’t back long enough for get her heels into the role. Craig is a dick buying dbl gins for an inexperienced drinker. I’d be on my ear after two dbl gins in a short space of time.

@EmeraldShamrock000 from the media stories it sounds like she fell out big time with the producer. So when she decided to leave he gave her the quickest most mundane exit.

The whole Zoe return was done really badly IMO, mainly due to the terrible writing and acting involved. She wanged on about being desperate to find 'MySon', then we had Personality Transplant Anthony going rogue and the ridiculous reveal that Jasmine had survived, at which point Zoe seemed to stop caring that she was supposed to be looking for her other child. Josh finally turns up and about five minutes later it's all 'Jolly good, we'll just crack on like we've not been separated for years'.

I'm struggling to give a toss about Zoe's impending exit, other than I feel sorry for Kat and as I've said before, I think 'child dies before parent' is a horribly over-used plotline in EE. I think Jessie Wallace will do it justice, but presumably we're going to have to suffer Big Mo's grief 'acting' as well 😩

It will be horrible for Kat, but hopefully it’ll be a short lived grief and they all move on. Kat is already depressed. She’ll probably go off to see Lynne.
Nobody else will be that upset and maybe the twins will also disappear. Although jazz hands may stay on. Who knows ?

Such a shame. She could have kickstarted her career. I wonder if she difficult for work with or if he is unreasonable. I doubt she’ll get another acting role.
Likewise I don’t want the family to go through another tragedy.

This producer seems to have built up the Slater's, only to bring them down. I just don't see the point to it all

I hope they make Amy’s character smart enough to report him to her dad before it gets too much. Seems like Eastenders like portraying women weak and easily manipulated.

The rumour about why Michelle Ryan fell out with Ben Wadey is that she wanted time off earlier this year which was denied, so she quit and Wadey decided to kill off Zoe. He didn’t need to kill off Zoe, it’s also telling her exit is so low-key when you think that she’s been involved in some huge stories.

I’m hoping Jessie Wallace will pull out all the stops in the aftermath of Zoe’s death but she has often phoned in her performances over the past twelve months or so. I’m glad her and Shane Richie will be taking breaks soon.

It was obvious something went very wrong early this year because she barely featured in her own storyline after she got out of jail and Josh appeared.

The whole return was so badly done, going round in endless circles with MySon exactly as @NoisyBrain says.

The who’s the daddy storyline is SO OVERDONE. I’m glad priya’s was revealed relatively quickly! 😆

Oh no, is Amy leaving, too? Craig is making my skin crawl, and it does seem another overdone EE storyline.

The teenage actors are better than a lot of the adults.

I have not heard that Amy is leaving? We were talking about Zoe's exit. And yes you would think Kat had suffered enough!

The teens are good atm. Denzil is good and so is Avani. ( I know they are older irl and so on)

No time for Zoe but that's too much grief and heartache to put on Kat. They could have sent her to Brazil or something but no need to kill the character. Agree it's been very badly done. Zoe has finally got her children back and she buggers off for months on end.

I know I need to be sensitive on this topic but if Priya keeps this baby they are going for immediate ratings rather than writing and developing a consistent character. She is a smart woman with 2 paths to choose from. 1. A single mother to 3 children (1 of which is Max fucking Brannings! ), no Ravi. 2. A chance of a good solid family with her 2 almost grown up kids and their dad.

All Square matriarchs must suffer. And then suffer some more. Thems the rules.

I agree Priya needs to terminate the pregnancy. It would be ridiculous to keep the baby because she has already acknowledged Ravi would not accept another man's child.

There was a lot of farcical 'to me - to you' back and forth with the swabs, but I can't see how they could have been mixed up. Unless Jean wrote the wrong name on the vial.

I’ve been on holiday and catching up, I missed a couple of episodes when Darnell was discovered so I’m really confused.

How did Denise and Kim’s mum have a child without them knowing? He looks younger than Denise so presumably she didn’t have him first. And he has a London accent so didn’t grow up <wherever in the West Indies the mum lives>. Did the mum literally just say oh yeah you have a brother, because Kim seems to have accepted it all very quickly. And why hasn’t the mum come to England to see if she is a match for her daughter (or to even visit her since she is potentially dying!!)

Darnell is Denise's half brother. They share the same father. Not mother. And I think Kim and Denise are sisters with the same mother but not father.

Agree with your point about D's mum though. Why has no-one tried to get her to test for a stem cell match? Where even is she in the world? Apparently she is called Emerald, but I dont remember ever seeing or hearing of her!

i think they did say Emerald had tested and isn’t a match, a while ago.

Did they test Libby for a match ? Can’t recall
