So........
As we've met three of the Hawkins ( and the Bloke In The Boot who we might see or not see again) and they left . But didn't get excited because we all knew they'd be back.......
They're back because the house burns down. I'm taking that as Gemma and Ned plus their two DC and dog.
Does Jodie and the mum leave near . Or with them ?
Was it an accident ? Chip pan or candle or ciggie?
Was it arson from someone they have transgressed against ( maybe Bloke In Boot has some dodgy mates)
One of Neds patients? Got a grudge or an illicit affair ?
Or did Gemma think " I don't need to pay an electrian to plumb in this shower I'm sure I saw something on YouTube and it was piss pot simple". <Boom!>
Or is someone out to kill them because - EastEnders . Nicolas Family. Teddy must have some enemies but he's locked up .

The plot thickens...
Or it won't .
The daughter will have a massive row with her mum " wha'cha go an do that for , he's the Love ah ma Life" when she hears about Bloke In Boot .
And leave her straighteners on high setting, on her bed .

All that will be much better than what actually happens @70isaLimitNotaTarget !

Oh I bet the man who was with the niece is ‘ bad news’ and tells his family that they tied him up , so the family and the dog all have to go ‘ on the run ‘ to somewhere safe ( as if Walford is remotely safe ) and hide behind Nicola because she can do the slanty eyed thing and see off anyone who gets in their way. They will all get new jobs there and the man in the boot won’t think to go there to seek them out. For now , anyway.

Penny doesn’t even seem to like Vinny much! I am wondering why they even bother with each other tbh.

I like the actress who plays Penny as well as the character but she has no chemistry with the actor who plays Vinny.

Nope, she seems to prefer Harry to Vinny! More her type

Definitely - she couldn’t wait to sleep with him on his first day in Walford!

Nobody could have chemistry with Vinny, he has had a personality bypass!

I doubt they would without the baby. Vinny probably dislikes her too but is obsessing about becoming a father, at any cost.

you could really feel Denise’s fear today. I know 2 people put on ventilators with covid and both were left with terrible anxiety afterwards. But at least they lived. However, the story and emotion is lost because they have shown us the ff in January of her ok.

The word ventilator made me think of Covid too :(
It was harrowing today. The Foxes discovering a half sibling was odd, although the history of Kim and Denise I am a bit hazy about.

@lazymum99 it was such a daft move to have her mentioned in the flash forward as fit and well. They could have left her unmentioned, then we would have had no idea of the outcome. It has taken all the jeopardy out of her storyline, which now exists only to remove her from home so that we can see Jack letting everything go to sh1te.

I can't even remember if Kim and Denise are actually sisters.

I really am confused by the Foxes back story tbh.

I cried today.. it got me lol but anything medical related to saying a potential goodbye to children does..

and I’m not sure.. Denise is alive in the flash forward, but she might be terminally unwell.

On another note. I’m absolutely obsessed with Jean and Priya , how stunning 🥹

Me too. I found it was all so sudden and unexpected that I got quite emotional 😢

Poor Denise! Did they try her on antibiotics or other medicine before going to medically induced coma?!? Could she not have been put on the ventilator without the coma part?

Jean and Priya are amazing. Even dh who generally isn’t a Jean fan is saying it’s good fun and I’m glad she helped her today , even if it went wrong at first.
An unlikely couple , but it works.

Denise is well enough in the flash forward to storm out and bang the door. Darnell wouldn't be turning up if he wasn't a donor, so clearly she has the stem cell transplant and is back home by Christmas.

I can’t remember the last decent episode, this one was really poor.

I really like Denise but I am fed up with the sight of her, thank goodness for medical comas. And Scott Maslen really is not up to this type of heavy emotional stuff.

Yet more creepy Craig and Amy in a low cut top.

Everyone except Priya and Jean seems to have forgotten how to act. Not surprising though with this script. I do love their double act.

Raymond is cute.

Raymond is a sweet child.
I hope that the baby is Ravi’s tbh, but I doubt it is.
I fear that Jack will blow up at Darnell if he doesn’t want to be a doner , but I agree he isn’t good at the emotional stuff.

Glad I’m not the only one who can’t remember how Kim and Denise are related, I’ve had a search around and they’re half sisters, they have the same mother.

Their mother was in the show in 2017 - Emerald. This was in the dreadful Sean O’Connor period. But I think that was their adoptive mother.

I must say I did LOL at Jean today. She really is a class act sometimes 🤣

I didn’t think that Kim and Dee had the same mum, but I don’t know why the whole family set up has eluded me around them and the Trumans. I think Dee thought Partick was her dad at one stage, but he isn’t.
It’s not a family tree I’m au fait with at all.
I don’t remember Emerald, was she awful ?

I barely remember Emerald other than she was in the show for a month and claimed to be their mother. I I may have been half watching because it was all quite tedious around this time.
