70s, doesn’t the foot soldier films have Craig someone in them who was a Vic landlord once ? I’ve never seen them, but I’m sure that a trailer showed him and he was in cliffhanger too. Katy Jarvis went on to become a store security guard. She was good in fish tank with Michael fassbender but gave up acting after a string of bad publicity apparently.

I’d forgotten about Hayley with the raspy voice. She had Cherry and then left her with the Slaters as she had severe mental health problems. I think she returned to take her back but it was all off screen. The actress was quite troubled in real life.

Have only just seen pictures of Janine’s return. Apparently she comes back for Zoe’s funeral which is odd as don’t recall the two characters ever crossing paths.

It doesn’t seem that Janine is at Zoe’s funeral. Maybe Mick’s body has been found or they have a funeral for him anyway:

Yes, I posted a day or so back about it being a different coffin. The one which you see at the funeral with the pics of Kat and Alfie is a wicker one whereas you see a wooden coffin at the one Janine is pictured attending.

Thank you for the link, South. I see Linda is in signature pink and Janine is scarlet woman as usual. It'll be some disappointing nonsense I expect, just to lever Janine into a few scenes. This producer is doing everything in sets of two, now we have two funerals within a month.

This all sounds like a ridiculous filler.. but I stand by my long standing suspicion that Kat and Alfie lose the Vic somehow.. you know the pub they bought with all Stacey’s money!

And Sean if he's coming back.
They can all pile into E-Laine's knocking shop.

@MyWildOliveGoose it really does sound like filler, and we've already had plenty of that, stories that turn up and go nowhere.

I agree I think Kat and Alfie will lose the Vic. I'm still hoping Shaz buys it.

@MyWildOliveGoose @Shellingbynight Why do you think Kat and Alfie are going to lose the Vic? The only reason I can think of is that Wadey wants to have Gemma and Ned there, although if that doesn’t happen they will of course find jobs in the square within a day or two of moving to Walford.

I mainly think they will lose the Vic because they don't feature in the NYD episode, and when Ian moans about the catering not being right he says 'they' and doesn't name Kat or Alfie. Zoe obviously comes to a sticky end, possibly in the Vic, and if so that would be a reason Kat not wanting to stay.

Also Sharon has sold the gym and is floating about aimlessly. But with Wadey you never know, he does things for no real reason which often don't make sense!

I’ve remembered now that Jessie Wallace and Shane Richie are taking breaks later this year to do panto’s.

@murasaki Shane just got a talking-to, he isn't being suspended.

Shane is off to do his tour in September with Bradley Walsh, Brian Connolly,Joe Pasquale ( Pratt Pack) , singing, tell8ng funny jokes etc.
It could be fun. Bradders has got quite a good voice and I saw Chasers Celebrity live when BC was on the panel , him'n'Brad go way back

Oh yes of course, the Pratt Pack. I like all of them in small doses. But of the four, Shane needs to be in really small doses!

So if he's doing that, and then panto, there was no point in suspending him from EE because he will hardly be there anyway!

So either Kat and Alfie go away somewhere (to Lynn's!?) after Zoe dies, or Kat is there on her own quite a while. I doubt Alfie would leave Kat alone so they must go off somewhere. If so, there is no licensee on the premises.

Shane has so much time off at inconvenient moments I'm surprised they allow it, they have to send him on ridiculous missions like searching for Zoe or visiting Spencer.

I think they allow him back in small doses as the EastEnders viewers cannot tolerate too much Alfie Air Time 🤣. It seems to be a thing now where they get in more known actors, sometimes it works ( Peggy Mitchell) other times it doesn't ( Emma who was Patsy Kensit) .
Denices brother is a known actor and Nicola' s sisters and mum.

Janine turning up in a red dress and black accessories. Funeral and Scarlet Woman in one .

I think the absences and the aftermath of Zoe’s death are all building up to the Hawkins (Ned and Gemma) bring the new licensee’s of the Vic, with the other family members helping out.

Gemma doesn't look like she could run a bath, never mind a pub!

I just think, why has he brought them to the show when there’s already a lot of cast members? Five of them, six early next year when the daughter arrives.

Janine always looks great when she pops in to the square.
I think Hayley got in trouble in RL. I remember something in the paper before she left.

They’ll kill him off if he keeps it up, or he’ll go missing for a few years.

I just found this article about Ned. I cannot understand the relationships, why would a man like him be married to a mess like Gemma?

I know Jamie Bamber is well known and I recognise him but I don't think I've ever watched anything he's in.

They move in with Nicola because their house burns down, I don't think I've seen that mentioned before.

So Ned has a professional job as a PTSD therapist? That means he’ll be working away from the square. Something has to go wrong at some point!
