"Jazz hands" is Josh, then? Simpering, flouncing, just like Bea, as a previous poster mentioned. And a poster mentioned Honey is kidnapped by Bea, well how often has that happened now? Mel, Denise, Bianca, it's all becoming tedious for one small residential square !

I sort of remember Honey’s debut, but I thought she worked as a honey trap / model at some stage as well.
I know Billy was smitten straight away , but he always was with all his dates and girlfriends wasn’t he!

EE like a kidnap story. Must have one a year at least at the moment.

She tried to honey trap Patrick and it was a just one of those crazy soap coincidences that before that she’d been nicknamed Honey. I remember her aunt (Una Stubbs) calling her Honey.

Unq Stubbs ! Oh yes. I have forgotten how many people have had parts in EE.

Eurgh I cannot abide Honey. (real name Susan as her credit card ,the one Bea forged )
Honestly she cannot walk and chew gum at the same time
When she was pregnant her Dad was very supportive and protective ( he didn't like Billy much)
She chose to call the baby "Janet" which was her Mothers name . But when her daughter was found to have Down's Syndrome she changed the name to "Petal" as she didn't want to use her precious favoured name on the baby .
She also distanced herself leaving Billy or her Dad to do everything
I disrespected her at the time and I haven;t built a bridge to get over myself .

Honey did struggle with Janet . Billy was far more accepting and really loved her. As much as Bea is mad
and dangerous, her love for Janet has been quite touching. I am not sure if honey knew Janet would he downs or not , did she have the blood tests and so on? I remember her with her dad saying she didn’t want to look after her once she was born.
She has made some bad decisions with men and so on.
Like all the characters, she is flawed.

Yep Nicola basically had Ivy stressed a bit after she was born and now she’s left with anyone! And her figure remarkably seems to have snapped back to normal for a woman in her 40s. Unless she wears lots of full body Spanx.

I remember that too. They didn’t know beforehand as she was in denial from the off. I remember someone visiting the maternity ward and honey wouldn’t admit that Janet had Down syndrome.
Bea is mad but I’d say she’s been really hurt too as she is empathetic and kind in ways, just don’t let her down if you want to stay in one piece.

Honey is kidnapped. Oh that’s interesting. It has been done to death too. Albert square is dangerous.

Whatever day that is happening I will not be watching, the plot plus acting is just so bad!

The kidnapping happens on Tuesday. Such a poorly executed story with some terrible acting, it had the potential to be something dark and disturbing. From the spoilers it looks like Tuesday will be Ronni Ancona’s last appearance.

I think Honey would have been relatively young when pg with Janet (at least not in her 40s)? So there wouldn’t have been any need to have a specific test for Downs Syndrome. Hence the shock and denial.

Meanwhile all of the older mums on the square who have had babies when almost 50 have sailed through their pregnancies, had healthy babies and snapped back into slim bodies immediately. Nicola was wearing tight dresses and heels right up until she gave birth😂

I think the storylines go on for ages but have huge gaps in between that by the time they go back to it we've all forgot the ins and outs and stopped caring.

The Calum Jonny sausage story will inevitably start up again at some point and really do any of us care?

I can vaguely recall having a blood test for Down’s syndrome , they just came back with a kind of probability reading which was low and didn’t suggest any further tests, but this was over 30 years ago. You could have a different test done privately , as I knew a few people who did. I can’t remember what happened with Honey or maybe she did know and ( obviously) didn’t want to have a termination. Not sure really how it all works these days with tests and things though.

It was such a bizarre storyline. She started off a bit weird but it seemed like we weren't supposed to take her that seriously, even when she flung Honey off a ladder. And then suddenly this week we hear she's an arsonist who tried to kill two people. None of it worked, the tone was all over the place.

Usually they notice a thickening on the neck at the 20 weeks scan and other tell tales do they carry out the test. DD had a thickening of the neck, the gene does run in my family, my Dad’s brother had down syndrome and a cousin.
The test was negative. I would have been okay with it, I know it’s not the same for everyone. Another cousin had a later termination in the UK.
I am nearly sure that it was a surprise to Honey as I interested in the storyline at the time.

I want to avoid it but I won’t. No willpower. 😅

I’ll watch it but still can’t believe Bea storyline. The blood on the fridge and then she’s been murdered by Billy I mean wtaf?! Billy couldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag let alone murder anyone.
