I was watching the Jacks x2 match.

I had forgotten how much I loathe Draper. His antics at Queens last year (smashing a hoarding), his vile tattoo, his ugly sleeveless shirt, the way he sticks his tongue out when he serves and his arrogance.

I was thinking if there was anyone on the tour I loathed more & I had to admit to Djock - but it's a close call.

PS I am H O T & grumpy. Been 40C every day here for the last 3 days & only dropping to 25/26 overnight. And schools are closed so have had to amuse the DGC for half a day. Not easy. But we've found a new playground.......................

I must admit, I'm not a big fan (and he's got Murray coaching him, so of course, that gets mentioned all the time).

I did think JPJ was getting a bit rattled towards the end by how long JackD was taking between games and questioning the shot clock- he did seem to taking his time.

Air conditioned supermarkets are a god send, aren't they ?

We rarely use it as air con, to be fair (it doesn't get that warm in Manchester most of the time)- but Dh does use it as a heating unit in the winter -it's where his 'home office' is. I hate how dry the heat is that comes off it!

I would KILL for aircon atm. I am seriously thinking about booking a night in a local hotel that has air con, just to get some cool sleep!

I have a habit of sleeping with an ice pack on my feet.

Yes, I saw that on BBC Sport earlier. I'm very glad that the BBC have retained Wimbledon, as I don't have TNT, Sky or whatever. A bit of a raised eyebrow though at some of the waffle in the press release.......

I think last year I watched a lot of the matches on iplayer which reduced a lot of the studio waffle but I know that not everyone has access to it

Also has Wimbledon qualifying suddenly changed to best of three/five sets? The hot weather is making me confused and this isn’t helping!

Best of 5 does seem a bit unnecessary Ice - it confused me as I thought that Tarvet had won his match but then they went into a third set
