I am home now and just turned on the Mirra-Barbora match. This is another where I like both players and don’t want either to go out - but if I have to choose it’s Mirra. It would be great if she can add to her slam tally here.

I think Mirra is going to struggle to come back from this.

Ice she probably will, if nothing else, it may have damaged the grass- and the umpire warns them against that at the start.

Barbora may not want to know who she plays next- but it is actually interesting, that she plays a fellow Czech, Bartunkova, who beat Siniakova her former doubles partner.

Mirra does need to work on her temper.

It's a shame, because she has been so much better recently - and I really don't like how some of the commentators focus so much on it (when if it's one of the men, it's dismissed as 'passion'- Jonathan Overend) She is still really young, and has been in the public eye since her early teens. I feel like Conchita is like a second parent.
