Apparently Wimbledon are going back to their own seeding system, rather than following the official rankings. Djok will be seeded 3rd, despite being 7th in the rankings. I feel sorry for Ben Shelton, who always seems to get drawn against Jannik in the QF, and would have thought he'd escaped it by being the 4th seed.

Hmmm, the post about seedings has now been deleted from the Wimbledon insta, maybe a mistake?

I didn't see it Ice- I would be surprised if they did go back to the old formula, but it would obviously benefit Djok.

I did read a misleading headline about Raducanu not being seeded- but that was because John Lloyd had been discussing going back to 16 seeds to make things more interesting - which would mean (ranked at around 30ish) she would miss out.

Arthur Fery has broken back, in the 3rd set, to take it to a tie break.

Bad start for Barbora- already 0-4 down in Eastbourne. There only seems to be one court option on iplayer- and they aren't showing it.

I think I remember them doing something similar a few years back with Rafa (with exactly the results you would expect )

Laura has been doing more in her series of Top of the Pops- what was number one when they were born quizzes (quite depressing , as they are mostly under 25)- they are all pretty useless.

She is using the US chart though- where the number 1s were different to here. I have thus discovered that Victoria Mboko un poco is 10 days younger than dd1- and Shakira was not the number 1 in the US at the time .

Dan Evans is scheduled to play his qualifier at 11am today -against Schoolkate - it’s a name that I keep seeing popping up but I’ve no idea what he looks like!

I thought there was more to the Rafa video- it was during the ATP finals in 2019(some of them look so young!)

It’s too hot in Roehampton and the electronic line calling has gone on strike.

Is the ELC broken because of the heat? It is so hot in London, it's unbearable. We made a good choice to install A/C in our bedroom and have had to set up beds on the floor for the kids, because it's over 30 degrees in their rooms.

Sad that Dan has lost the first set. I really want him to qualify. Schoolkate isn't the easiest draw, I remember he took a set of Jannik at AO last year.

I was actually impressed by how good some of the non-English speakers were at saying the station names. Imagine if they got a random selection of English speaking players and asked them to pronounce Paris Metro names, it would be embarrassing.

In the Australian media whenever Schoolkate is mentioned it is always followed by a reference to the set he took from Sinner. DD and I think it will follow him for the rest of his life.
