When I was Brownie our sixes were all named after sprites. I was a Kelpie and there were cute little laughing men on the badge. I have only learnt since the Falkirk things that this was emphatically not accurate at all.

Fair summary of the other girls I was at Brownies/Guides with. I was bulled a LOT, and only recently found out my mum knew, which means the leaders knew, and nobody did anything about it.
