The next series starts on the 21st April. Looking forward to banquettes, and bizarre paint choices, and upcycling of old junk. DD and I are rewatching the old series and I’d forgotten how crazy some of the rooms were!

Ha ha, brilliant. Just need a "Stop the boats!" Placard hung up somewhere and a dartboard on the door. Although the great thing about being on the beach is they could do it themselves.

I absolutely hated that papier mache - I thought it was horrible. But the judges seemed to like it so I may be missing something.
Was also not a fan of the winner - I didn’t mind the look so much, but it seemed so impractical for a beach hut with all that sand getting into everything.

Surely wallpaper is a dreadful idea in an uninsulated, unseated shed in a damp environment.

Michelle talking about the importance of sustainability, which means so much more that just picking up some old price of furniture or a scrappy bit of old rope. It should be embedded into the design, no plastic leaves, nothing that would need to be thrown out in 6 months.

The papier mache was awful. It was like a child had made it.
The othwr issue too was that it only used a couple of colours. So there was nothing interesting or attractive about it.
