Interior design masters new series - let the battle commence

The next series starts on the 21st April. Looking forward to banquettes, and bizarre paint choices, and upcycling of old junk. DD and I are rewatching the old series and I’d forgotten how crazy some of the rooms were!

Duran thinks she’s got nothing to learn.

I did call Ajeet to go home from the off tbf. But Duran Duran should’ve gone.

How has Duran stayed?

The contestants seem to be wearing the same clothes? It’s just the presenters that look to change?

Reminds me of Jackie Stallone.

I thought it would be a close call between Duran and Ajeet - both their rooms were not good. However I hated the colours in Sophie’s space and Lia’s 70d theme was overpowering.

Duran’s lace skirt over a tracksuit is a weird look. Her haircut really annoys me
too.

Imagine if the papier mache queen herself actually wins it all? 😂

To be fair to Emmerly her space was much better than the others this week. She’d really thought about it all and I didn’t even hate her art work!

Maybe not on this one, but I’ve noticed it on previous weeks.

I hope Emmerly wins, she’s the only one who seems to be listening and improving. The others just seem to churn out a slightly different version of their usual schtick each week.

I think Lia’s was the worst this week. I don’t know how she looked at that very modern black kitchen and came up with 70s. The others had many faults but their spaces at least felt somewhat cohesive.

Ah no! It’s the judges wearing the same clothes and the contestants wearing different outfits this week.

Just catching up. Having spent all afternoon painting the woodwork in my hall i really wish I had a decorator to help.

Ok, caught up and still really disappointed with the designers and the decisions from Michelle. Duran should have gone home. I really wasn't a fan of lia's room either.

The only one who has progressed is Emmerley. Last week was good, this week better. Hoping she's not been stitched up next week With a dodgy partner....

Emmerly’s room was ok, the rest were completely shite. These lot are useless.

What a poor set of contestants … really lazy casting.

Emmerley seems to be the only one listening, but even her spaces are touch and go.

I hope Next have some talented designers, who will make sure that any collection is fit to go into peoples houses.

What made them all go for hideous brown. Johnny would have excelled this week I think.
