They ought to give Tom Allen his own show not Claudia.

He's single handedly saving Claudia's arse. Without him this would be another of bad.

The ones they're talking to are all very confident. You'd expect them to be really nervous but they're suspiciously not.

The Rest Is Entertainment section on chat shows this week was really interesting

It was an odd awkward start. Tom Allen's nightstand saved it from being truly awful.

I gave up after the awkward start, I'm really not sure this is the right fit for Claudia. I was also too distracted by the heaviness of her fringe, which I don't mind on Strictly, Traitors or the Piano (where i think she shines) but it felt like she could barely see the audience or guests through it.

Except they were saying that the word from the people involved in the making of this show was that it was great. Plus Marina Hyde is I think a friend of Claudia's. Will be interesting to see if they discuss it next week.

I find her very affected anyway. But watching her being uncomfortable makes me uncomfortable. She really needed Tom Allen there. Soft guests. Can you imagine if she'd had Anne Bancroft and Meg Ryan.

I love Claudia, but something about this didn’t work. Jeff G just look utterly bemused / ‘where the fuck am I?’
I think they needed more A-list guests for it to land with a bang.

And I agree - not sure about the audience participation - too contrived.

Wonder how much the sofa cost? I felt that sofa lady was a bit elitist. Glad Tom Allen called her out

"Anything else you want to add/sell a bit more?" Awful question to end with. Sounds like she had no idea what else to say. This feels like it was thrown together in half an hour and she forgot what was planned. Really disappointing and lazy.

Jeff G was a dominating boor, Jennifer & Vanessa had glazed eyes while he droned on. How on earth did he shut if Vanessa’s ‘Ian McKellan made me eggs once’ with ‘I had eggs today’

Jeff Goldblum is hilarious, flicks from thing to thing, quirky, eccentric. He's great

But she asked twice. If it was intended then it was awkwardly executed and an odd way to end the show.
