We've just started watching this, way after everybody else. But isn't it great? Last night was the one in series 2 with the ATM.
What are other poster's favourites?

I've tried three or four times to get into this but can't get past the first couple of episodes. May have to try again

willsandnoodle · 26/02/2026 13:58

I love it! I’ve watched the whole thing about 4 times over. The film is brilliant too

Certaintyneeded · 26/02/2026 14:00

I loved this - I plan to rewatch it again one day. I can’t remember any specific favourite moments though. I was sad when I finished the last episode. Feeling similar now having binged on Ozark all series and finished the last episode this week.

ChamonixMountainBum · 26/02/2026 14:00

I would say watch better call Saul first and then breaking bad!

Sausagenbacon · 26/02/2026 14:04

Don't give up Oneleggedonne. We did the same. I think it takes time to get into - at least 3 episodes.

Bryan Cranston is such an amazing actor. I just can't believe that he also did Malcolm in the Middle

I couldn’t imagine wanting to watch it, after reading a brief summary- ‘chemistry teacher turned drug dealer’ type thing. It was incredible. So clever and such a great concept.

MagpiePi · 26/02/2026 14:08

I watched it and absolutely loved it, and the film, and Better Call Saul. I don't think you need to watch BCS before BB.

PrincessScarlett · 26/02/2026 14:10

My all time favourite was Gus Fring's revenge on the cartel in season 4. Awesome episode and awesome character.

I loved BB but absolutely hated Walter's character (I know you're meant to). If it wasn't for Jesse, Fring, Mike etc I wouldn't have given this the time of day.

Kidsarekarma · 26/02/2026 14:10

Best series ever imho. It's wonderful how it can manipulate your feelings about the characters.

Aposterhasnoname · 26/02/2026 14:11

Oh I loved it, I wish i could watch it for the first time again IYSWIM. El camino and better call saul are good too. Saul takes a while to get going though.

Pabbel · 26/02/2026 14:11

Brilliant series.

Ohpleeeease · 26/02/2026 14:12

Breaking Bad is very good but BCS is very much better, so you have a treat to look forward to!

Did you watch The Wire? Also excellent although it looks a bit dated now.

Aposterhasnoname · 26/02/2026 14:13

My favorite part was the ending, so perfect.

Sausagenbacon · 26/02/2026 14:39

No, i haven't seen the Wire - we've got that to look forward to

I was late to the party too. FIL kept raving about it at the time, but we only had the terrestrial channels back then. Watched it on Netflix a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it. I also watched the spinoff, Better Call Saul, but took a break beforehand as I was too upset at having no more episodes of Breaking Bad to watch (🤣) and wasn’t overly keen on the Saul character. That definitely changed when I watched Better Call Saul, which was excellent, if a bit repetitive in parts.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2026 14:51

It’s brilliant. Enjoy

Scorchio84 · 27/02/2026 00:55

I love it! I've watched it through twice now & the second time was with my ex who hadn't seen it at all & it was so hard poker-facing my way through it without spoiling it! My OH had seen it before we got together so we dip in & out fairly regularly, like with The Sopranos

I couldn't get into The Wire though.. Oz is my other great love

I like to think of Breaking Bad as a sequel to Malcolm in the Middle where Hal has abandoned his previous family and started a new one...

friedaddedchilli · 27/02/2026 08:26

I was late to it, but I thought it was the best TV ever.

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 27/02/2026 08:29

We've just finished it,we re watch it every few years.

The Sopranos
Nurse Jackie
Six feet under

are also excellent and I'd go as far to say the best telly every made.

Agree, superb telly. I’d add The Big C and Ozark, both starring Laura Linney. Telly you are sad to see the end of because you can never go back.

MrsCarmelaSoprano · 27/02/2026 12:52

Oh yes , Ozark too fantastic!

bilbodog · 27/02/2026 12:55

I cant remember which series of breaking bad it was but the whole episode about the fly …….

Kickinggkicker · 27/02/2026 12:58

The Spin Off Better Call Saul is just as good.

Another series, in a similar sort of vein is Ozark. Ozark has some amazing female roles, I loved it.
